Travelling towards my grave.
assalam 'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
How many of us thought about this?
When we want to start a business of our own, we are ready to start saving money even if it takes 20 or 30 years to save fully.
When we have a problem in one of our eyes, we immediately go to the doctor and are ready to spend any amount that is possible, to get our eye treated fully.
When our Car or Motor Bike is damaged by an accident, we are in a hurry to repair it regardless of the cost that it may incur, if that is affordable to us.
If we do something against the rules of school or job, we feel so ashamed of ourselves and are quick to correct it.
Now think a while...............
We all believe that Jannah will be granted only for doing good deeds. Do we save enough to purchase a Palace in Jannah for our savings?
We all believe that each and every thing we have are from Allah (subuhaanahu wata'aala). Do we attempt to ask from our Lord when we have a difficulty in our life?
We all believe that Eaman has its ups and downs. Do we be in a hurry to improve it when it gets weak?
We all know Sharee'ah is the perfect way sent by Allah (subuhaanahu wata'aala) to His special Creations Mankind and Jinn. Do we feel ashamed and attempt to do Tawbah (Repentance) when we commit a sin or break the Rules of Allah?
You may think that the above is what I am going to specialise here. If so, that is wrong. The point here is what Rasoolullah (sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam) said in this Hadith which is Narrated by Abu Huraira: The Prophet (saas) said, "A place in Paradise as small as a bow is better than all that on which the sun rises and sets (i.e. all the world)." The same hadith is reported in these terms by Anas bin Malik, "A place in Paradise as small as the bow or lash of one of you is better than all the world and whatever is in it." (Bukhari)
So guess the price of Jannah. We die defending our wealth and property. We are on time on each and every meeting which may lead us to get some money. We enjoy parties and fun which brings tiredness when we finish them. We are busy in day and night to built our houses and decorate them. When our Muslim brother asks for our help, we have nothing to give him. This is the reality with many of us. Yes many, including me. We need a change. A change that will lead us to Jannah.
Do we think Jannah is such a cheap place that we can enter so easily? Think how much money we need to spend a single Holiday in Baaj al-Arab. Then think how much work we do to save for our Holiday. Is Jannah cheaper than a Hotel in this world? By the one on whose hand my soul is, it cannot be even comparable even if we want.
Still we do nothing to save. But when someone asks us whether we want to enter it, we become so angry and shout at them saying, "How dare you ask that question!!!!!!!! How can a person deny it!!!!!!"
My respected brothers and sisters. Our time is today. When the time is up, Malak al-Mawth will take our soul. Then there will come the day to Judge. No second chance will be given. What we will have is what we prepare today.
Sorry is the post is too long. But I just could not sit back and be happy seeing myself and ourselves taking this world as a very expensive place.
