It's Friday again
i can remember when
i said that cause i wanted to party
get off of work and git wit my shorty
mess up my head
hang out with the livin' dead
but now it's a different story
now it's a day for glory
The Islamic Day of Assembling
Attending the Masjid (Mosque) and remembering
The love of Allah
And how very far
i've come from those days of self destruction
to make Prayer and focus on reconstruction
When the call is made for Prayer on Jumu'ah Day
Leave off all business and work and play
And hasten to remember your Lord
This is not very hard
When you stay focused always on your Creator
Who has loved you always and will love you later
When the Khutbah (Sermon) and the Salah (Prayer) are through
This is what you've got to do
Go on back out and keep doing good
Keep taking care of Business and "putting the Neighbor back in the Hood"
