Everybody heard of 'cat nap' but
does anybody came across
of 'cat massage' like in this video as yet?

cats,gotta love them. My non muslim teacher told us that the prophet mohhomad pbuh really loved cats, and instead of removing a cat on his sleeve he cut off his sleeve as to not disturve that cat. Is this true?

True sister.
Prophet Muhammad s.a.w advised us to treat our cats (pets)
as a member of our family,
and by this he meant to take a good care of them.
Not only by words, but also with his actions he was a very good role model.
For example: the Prophet Muhammad’s favourite cat:
The most famous story about the cat recounts during ,
when the call to prayer was given, and as Prophet Muhammad went to put on one of his robes, he found his cat sleeping on one of the sleeves.
Rather than disturbing the cat, he cut off the sleeve and let him sleep. When he returned, his cat awoke and bowed down to Prophet Muhammad s.a.w and in return he stroked him three times.

It is also believed that when Prophet Muhammad s.a.w gave sermons within his household he would often hold his cat in his lap”.

The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w taught mercy to all of Allah swt creation.

al salaam thanks, its nice to hear that hadith, humans act as they own the world, we dont its all allah (swt) creations. (ps: im not a sister)

Did you know that prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
was also very fond of cats?
The Story of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w and his cat
is so very famous and common.


There is a story in the Hadith that tells us about a woman who was punished because of a cat. She had neither provided the cat with food nor drink, nor set it free so that it might eat the insects of the earth.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told his companions that a great sin had been committed because one of Allah’s creatures had been ill-treated. The woman who had treated her cat so cruelly was not forgiven for her sins: (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 3, Book 40, Number 553)

So, remember to take good care of your pets and other creatures.
Allah swt rewards kindness to animals but punishes those who are cruel.

I do also came to know this
since my childhood Islamic class too.

Maybe you can ask your religious teacher/scholar
about this.

Wa'alaikumussalam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Sister I heard the Hadith you have mentioned regarding that women who had a cat, and entered Jahannam. But I never heard that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah) had a cat. Thats why I asked for a reference to the "hadith" you mentioned regarding the cutting-off the sleeve of the dress.

Yeah inshaAllah I will try to find out about this. So curious now really. :)

Maybe you can talk to your imam or meeting some scholar at your masjid(mosque)this friday after solah juma'ah to get more detail
about this.
