فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ
The heart, like a cup, is only designed to hold one thing and that is love for Allah. We do, and it is completely natural, fill this cup with things other than Allah, to depend on them, to attach ourselves to them, to love them, but if your attachment to Allah, your love for Him, your dependence on Him supersedes the other bounties we give this space to, when we find we are disheartened or we need to detach, or that 'other' love is taken away, we are not devastated, shattered, or broken and you find that space to be unmoved, as it still remains full with Allah's love. May Allah, the turner of hearts, turn us towards Himself, and allow us to tread in accordance with His word, instil in us love for Himself and for seeking His pleasure.
