the best Qur'an translation?

i was wondering, what is the best english translation of the qur'an available? I know that a translated qur'an does not hold the same value as an original, arabic qur'an...but until i learn arabic it would be nice to know what is the best english version available! I am reading now the translation by Maulana Muhammad Ali, and I have heard that the translation by Yusuf Ali was good...but i have heard both positive things and negative things about each of these translations....such as the footnotes and commentaries are misleading, or the translations themselves are not accurate. Any thoughts here?

The Noble Quran - Translation by Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan

Includes a summarized version of At-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi and Ibn Kathir with comments from Sahih Al-Bukhari.

This is most authentic translation. This is due to they translate it in light of the Quran and Sunnah.

Although, keep in mind translation is simply that a translation.
