Seeking Allah's Mercy
Qul HuwaAllahu Ahud!
Allah Praise is to Allah. We praise Him, seek His Help, and seek his Forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and from the evil of our actions. He whom Allah guides, none can lead astray; and he whom Allah leads astray, none can guide. And I bear witness that none has the right to be worshiped in Truth except Allah and that He has no partners, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Slave and Messenger. As for what comes after:
Abu Ja'far Al-Tahawi rahimahullah said: I was with Ahmad Bin Abi 'Umran, and a man from the people of the Dunyaa passed by us. So I looked at him and in doing so was distracted from what I was doing previously of revising my studies. So Ahmad said to me: It seems as if you were thinking about what that man has been given of the Dunyaa. So I said to him: Yes. He said: Should I show you what will dispense you of this? Would you rather that Allah would transfer to you what he has been given of wealth and transfer from you what you have been given of 'Ilm, such that you will live wealthy but in ignorance, and he will live as a 'Alim but in poverty? So I said: I would not choose that Allah would change what I have of 'Ilm to what he has.
