آج وہ کشمیر ہے محکوم و مجبور و فقیر
کل جسے اہلِ نظر کہتے تھے ایرانِ صغیر

سینہ ء افلاک سے اٹھتی ہے آہِ سوز ناک
مردِ حق ہوتا ہے جب مرعوب سلطان و امیر

کہہ رہا ہے داستاں بیدردیِ ایّام کی
کوہ کے دامن میں وہ غم خانہئ دہقانِ پیر

آہ! یہ قوم نجیب و چرب دست و تر دماغ
ہے کہاں روزِ مکافات اے خدائے دیر گیر؟

From sky their raises a sigh of grief,
When a trueman is gagged by a tyrant chief.

Of ruthless times she is telling a tale,

So famed in skill Oh this noble race
Where is thy avenge O’ Lord of each base?

Brother A Kashmiri, Aameen to your duas, May Allah give him the highest place in Jannah. I have never seen a man so concerned for the well being of the Ummah, especially us youth. Most of his work was aimed at us. There is a lot in there. We just have to read it.
