How about some spices apart from salt and pepper ?

Maybe you can dish in some paprika/capsicum/bell pepper at the very end.

Also, seems like you don't want to use any oil (which is good), yet you are still saute-ing. How about just plain steaming ?

And also, I wouldn't soak veggies for long in water (and drain the water out) and lose most of its vitamins.

We are supposed to give suggestions, right ?

Wasalaamalaykum waa rahmatullahi

Edit : Oh dear, you are using three quater bars of cheese. No wonder you are not using oil to saute. My mother wouldn't be amused to the slightest bit.

Assalamua'alaykum wa rahmatullah,

Man, I have just joined the club of unprofessional chefs. LOL.

But, working on it..Dont worry, we'll try our best, right Sis Rayray :)

Oh, I actually have only 2 weeks at home before I'm back again to school. So I guess will only have 2 meals to share, inshaAllaah.

Later...

Pizza

Assalamualikum.I have been so interested in doing PIzza recently and here you can learn how to make pizza in a very easy way. There are 3 parts in making pizza
  1. Tomato paste
  2. Dough
  3. Toppings
First lets do tomato paste because the secret for good pizza is in its delicious tomato paste.I prefer homemade tomatoe paste instead of can bought. You can use either. For homemade tomato paste,do it 1 day before using it as the spices and ingredients need to be blend well.

Tomato paste

Ingredients

-4 large tomatoes (slash the tomatoes and bleach them in boiling water for 30 seconds and remove the skin.Cut them and remove the seeds as well

-1 large onion
-2 garlic cloves

blend tomatoes in a food processor
blend onion + garlic in a food processor

- oil for saute
-oregano 1 tsp (arabic zater)
- mint 1 tsp
-cumin pwdr 1/2 tsp
- coriander pwdr 1/2 tsp
-salt for taste

Method

  1. Pour oil and saute onion + garlic
  2. Pour the tomato paste
  3. add all spices and herbs and salt
  4. add very little water and cook it till it become a thick paste
  5. once done, let it cool down and put in a tight container and put in fridge overnight or till need to be used.
Tips:
  1. Remove tomatoe seeds
  2. Put the tomatoe paste at least 12 hours in the frige for a good taste
Dough

Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 1/s tsp salt
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 2 1/2 Tbs powder milk(for each cup of flour,use 1 Tbs powder milk)
- liquid milk (depends how much flour you use.use enough milk to bring the flour together and form an elastic dough)
- olive oil 2 1/2 Tbs (each cup takes 1 Tbs olive oil)

I do not use water at all.I prefer my dough to hae milky taste so that my son can eat the crust.

Method

  1. Disolve yeast in a luke warm milk and put a side till it form bubles
  2. Mix all the ingredients (flour + salt+ powder milk, olive oil and liquid milk)
  3. Once the dough is formed, pour a small amount of oliove oil at teh bottom of your bowl and place the dough and cover it with a lid or a clean towl.Perhaps 1-2 hours
  4. Put it at a warm place till it rise double of its size
  5. Once rise, punch it down and remove the air.
  6. Let it rise again for another 30mints
Toppings

Ingredients

  1. Any vegetable(green/red/yellow capsicum),onion,mushroom,tomatoes.Slice them all.
  2. For chicken pizza, marinate chciken breats overnight(1 Tbs oyster sauce,1 Tbs soya sauce,1 Tbs lemon juice,1 Tbs garam masala or mix of all spices)
  3. You may grill the chicken or fry it as you prefer.I sometimes fry and sometimes grill.
  4. mozzarella cheese
  5. olives
Cooking

  1. 20 mints before placing the dough in oven, turn on oven at the highest temperature-260 degree celcius/500F/gas mark 9
  2. Roll the dough round shape(if your cooking sheet is round shape)
  3. PLace it on the cooking sheet and add 1 Tbs olive oil on it and place the dough itself in teh oven for 5-10mints
  4. Once you see the dough has rise to the thickness you want, quickly remove it from oven and add the tomatoe paste as well as the toppings and mozzarella cheese.
  5. PLace in oven again for another10-15 mints till you see the crust turned brown.
DONE :)

You do not need any Pizza tools such as pizza stone or other tools.Just normal baking tool is sufficient enough to make a very delicious pizza.

Check out my pictures and you judge :)

No problem at all.It is delicious.I prefer to make my own dough because I love bakery and I love to have milky taste in my dough. The bought one doesn't have milky taste. It was mostly made of salt, flour, water and yeast.

As for the can tomatoe,i do not trust it lol..I prefer again to use egyptian sweet tomatoes :).

for the cheese, sometimes i use mozarella and sometimes i just use cheddar cheese as that is what i always have in stock lol.

So when are you going to post your next recipe? In sha Allah today for lunch going to make rice stuffed chicken..in sha Allah wait for the recipe :)
