Turn To islam

Asalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh

I have been critical of this Islamic forum (Turn to Islam) in some of my previous posts and its administrator in the recent past. It so happend that I discovered another similar forum (almost a look alike...do NOT want to advertise them here) and Subhan Allah now I appreciate that a lot of good work Brother Mabsoot and other brothers/sisters are doing here on TTI.

This other site (which I am ashamed to say) is mostly run by my Pakistani brothers (I myself was born and grew up in Pakistan) is full of weak/false information. Subhan Allah, it does not bother many muslim brotehrs and sisters where their knowledge is coming from..but by Allah just because we chose to follow the falsehood out of our ignornace to diffrentiate between the truth and weak/fabricated hadiths that will not be an excuse in front of Allah on the day of judgement. Therefore, brothers and sister please, for Allah sake learn well and do not follow anyone blindly.

I also realize now that how difficult the task of monitoring and editing these muslim forum is...peopel are saying all kind of things (whatever they may have heard...they may believe). Some simply follow their fathers/grandfathers Madhab (school of religious thought) without ever questioning it. Allah does not accept anything taht is NOT the TRUE sunnah of our only prophet (sws). For Allah sake please be careful of what you say and what you learn without verfying where that information (about Islam) is orginating from.

May Allah protect Br. Mabsoot and others (moderators) from all evil and reward them for all their sincere acts for the sake of propogating the knowledge of the deen of Allah. Ameen. I am sorry for any harsh words in the past..but insha Allah I will continue the constructive criticism of everyone who posts here on TTI in an unofficial capacity.

Wa alaykum Salam Wa Rahmatullah,

Thank you for your kind words, however, I never realised that anything harsh was said. :) So, it is OK alhamdulillah. We are all Muslim brothers and sisters and people can feel free to email us or contact us if they have any questions or problems. Or even if you feel something was done that was unfair, then contact us. InshaAllah, we will do our best to help.

We want to keep this site with good Islamic information that is as correct as possible on a public forum.

We try our best to put things for download as well as keep the site running smooth as possible.

Also, we try and allow as much as possible on the forums, but we are strict in that we delete anything that goes away from the website Rules. -

We just wish that all people can come together on one common platform and to share and discuss knowledge in accordance to the Islam that is purely based on Quran and Sunnah.

I am just the administrator, I do not really see this website as mine. I just pay for it and do all the techy stuff and maybe add a bit of content. This website was made for all Muslims and even non-Muslims to learn and understand Islam. The only criteria being that they do not make their own fatwa lol, that they stick to the original Islamic teachings and respect each other. - It is important we counter and defeat the enemies of Islam by doing something they dread - and that is returning to the Islam as taught by the Prophet :saw:. This is the best thing that any Muslim can ever do and the only way for the Ummah to become stronger.

I would like to thank all the great brothers and sisters who help each other on this community and especially the moderators and people who help me pay for running this site. It costs 100s of dollars to run unfortunately. But, it is definately worth it, especially when you see and hear from people who became Muslim or who have been guided to the Quran and Sunnah from it.

May Allah help us all.

Wasalam.

Bismillah,

Wa'alaikum'Assalam wa'Rahmatullahi wa'Barakatuhu.

Indeed, like Br Mabsoot said; Many thanks for your generous words. I myself havent noticed anything harsh.......but as a reminder, we are all human beings, compelled to mistakes and error....Subhan'Allah...so it is absolutely, positively better to overlook each others mistakes, Insha'Allah; and ALLAH is Ever Forgiving Most Merciful.....Subhan'Allah!

Please allow me to add a passage from Imam Al-Ghazali's sincere nasiha (adivce) to his student from a book called 'Dear Beloved Son' .....

Under the fourth counsel, Imam Al-Ghazali titled this advice as 'Allah's Mercy':

"My dear son...

Be not bankrupt of good deeds, nor void of [spiritual] status. Know for certain that abstract knowledge alone will neither increase you in power nor strengthen your situation. Likewise, if a brave warrior in possession of ten Indian swords and other weapons was alone in the wilderness, and a great ferocious lion attacked him, do you think the weapons could defend him if they were not used against the lion? It is well known that weapons cannot defend people unless they are brought into use. By the same principle, if a man read a hundred thousand scientific theories, they would be of no use to him if he did not try and apply them. Similarly, if a man suffering from fever and a kidney disorder, he should be treated with ginger and [other] plants. Without treatment no recovery is achieved.
[A poet once said:]
Though you measure two thousand bottles of wine
Unless you drink, no thrill is thine

If you studied a hundred years and collected a thousand books, you would not be prepared for the mercy of Allah the Exalted, accept by action. Allah says: Man shall have nothing but what he strives for (Qur'an, 53:39); Whosoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness (Qur'an, 18:110); A recompense for what they used to do (Qur'an, 9:82); As for those who believe and do good work, they will have for them the gardens of Paradise as an abode. No change will they desire from them (Qur'an, 18:107); Except he who repents, believes and does good work (Qur'an, 25:70) ........"

Subhan'Allah...what a beautiful piece of advice! May Allah enable us to take it into consideration Ameen. May Allah also reward Br Mabsoot for putting this site together, (fi'sabilillah), may He accept his efforts together with ours, and help us all to work towards righteousness Ameen.

Br acedoc, you mentioned:
May Allah protect Br. Mabsoot and others (moderators) from all evil and reward them for all their sincere acts for the sake of propogating the knowledge of the deen of Allah.

Ameen dear brother! - May Allah truly protect us all Ameen.

Br Mabsoot: You are most welcome, Subhan'Allah.....Barak'Allahu Fik for your hard work, your CONSTANT co-operation and patience.

As Br Mabsoot has already mentioned, please do not hesitate to contact the team should you require any assistance.

On a closing point, i'd like to make a general comment:
The Qur'an and Sunnah are not to be distinguished; together they constitude guidance for all of Mankind! (Subhan'Allah).

May Allah guide us all to that which pleases Him Subhanahu wa Ta'aala the most, and may Allah cover our faults on the Day of Judgemnent, Ameen ya Rabb al Alamin.

I leave you all in the View of Ar-Raheem,

Wasalam

Mercy of Allah

Walaikum salam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh

Beautiful words...but I must take exception to one quote from your post above.

May be I am misinterreprating it but I certainly hope it does not mean what it literally says, "you would not be prepared for the mercy of Allah the Exalted, accept (spelling?) by action".... Is that from Al-Ghazali or from you (sister).

Because a hadith of Rasool Allah (sws) said something quite opposite to what you said here:

Sahih Bukhari Volume 8, Book 76, Number 470:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "The deeds of anyone of you will not save you (from the (Hell) Fire)." They said, "Even you (will not be saved by your deeds), O Allah's Apostle?" He said, "No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His Mercy on me. Therefore, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship Allah in the forenoon and in the afternoon and during a part of the night, and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach your target (Paradise)."

So none will be saved by their actions BUT by Mercy of Allah. There is very fine point here I hope you dont feel I am splitting hair here.

( Alhamduillah)

Assalam Alaykum

Dear All..

May be i have no words to say it..

we should thank Allah ( Alhamduillah) for blessing of islam and ask Him to make us steadfast in adhering to His religion till the death.

we should note that the more religious commitment becomes something strange and the fewer people there are who truly adhere to it – as is the situation nowadays – the more difficult it becomes to remain steadfast. It is hard to be different from the vast majority of people. Hence Allaah in His wisdom increases the reward of the sincere believers who remain steadfast in adhering to the truth, those who give precedence to pleasing Him over everything else and sacrifice that which is most precious to them for the sake of achieving that.

In Saheeh Muslim (145) it is narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah :saw:(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Islam started as something strange and will go back to being something strange as it began. So glad tidings to the strangers.”

In Sunan al-Tirmidhi (3058) it is narrated from Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah :saw:(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “After you there will come days during which being patient will be like holding on to a live coal. The one who strives during those days will have a reward like that of fifty men who strive as you do.” According to another report: It was said: “O Messenger of Allaah, the reward of fifty men like them or like us?” He said: “No, the reward of fifty men like you.”
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb, 3172

These ahaadeeth and others indicate that at the end of time, there will be many evil and corrupt people, and few who are good and righteous and fear Allaah. That is because there will be so much fitnah (temptation and tribulation) and because sin and temptation will be so widespread that adhering to Islam will become something strange and may even become something strange among the Muslims themselves.

These ahaadeeth also indicate that adherence to Islam is not something easy, rather it is like holding on to a live coal. What will help a person to do that, after guidance from Allaah, is being patient in adhering to this path until he meets his Lord not being negligent or heedless, so he will meet a Lord Who is pleased with him and not angry with him, and will give him a great and much-multiplied reward. If a person truly understands this, he will regard as insignificant whatever he encounters for the sake of that which is waiting for him with his Lord, by the will and grace of Allaah.

Remember that your efforts will never be lost, so long as you remain on the right path. The point where your life ends, this is your destination:

“He who emigrates (from his home) in the Cause of Allaah, will find on earth many dwelling places and plenty to live by. And whosoever leaves his home as an emigrant unto Allaah and His Messenger, and death overtakes him, his reward is then surely, incumbent upon Allaah. And Allaah is Ever Oft?Forgiving, Most Merciful”

[al-Nisa’ 4:100]

Then will come the turn of those who come after you, to take the flag from you and continue the rest of the journey. How many of this ummah are still left: “Allaah will continue to plant new people in this religion and use them in His obedience.”
Narrated by Ibn Maajah and classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Sunan Ibn Maajah, 1/5.

Be certain of the promise of Allaah to this ummah of support and help:

“And indeed We have written in Az-Zaboor [i.e. all the revealed Holy Books the Tawraat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Psalms, the Qur’aan] after (We have already written in) Al-Lawh Al-Mahfooz (the Book that is in the heaven with Allaah) that My righteous slaves shall inherit the land (i.e. the land of Paradise)”

[al-Anbiya’ 21:105]

“This matter (i.e., Islam) will reach as far as the day and night reach, and Allaah will not leave any house of mud or hair but He will bring this religion into it … and Allaah will bring glory to Islam and humiliation to kufr.”

Narrated by Ahmad and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 32.

.....................

( Alhamduillah) i make friends Here with those who will help me to remain steadfast.

( Alhamduillah)who guide us to strive for His sake to the straight path.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our paths (i.e. Allaah’s religion — Islamic Monotheism). And verily, Allaah is with the Muhsinoon (good-doers)”
[al-‘Ankaboot 29:69]

we ask Allah to guide us to the Straight Path and help us to remain steadfast in it.

...........

( Alhamduillah) who's says (interpretation of the meaning):

“He it is Who created for you all that is on earth”
[al-Baqarah 2:29]

Once you have understood this, and it has become deeply rooted in your heart and you are at peace with it, then you will know that Allaah has not created this universe, with the earth and the heavens, the seas and the rivers, the mountains and plains, the oases and the deserts, except for your sake, O poor, weak creature

I urge you to remain steadfast in your religious commitment and not to turn away from it despite the many fitnahs and temptations and the many obstacles. Remember that the good end will be for those who fear Allaah (the pious).

...............
( Alhamduillah) who's saied (interpretation of the meaning):

“And I (Allaah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)”

[al-Dhaariyaat 51:56 – interpretation of the meaning]

Then you will realize that the great purpose for which you exist in this world is to worship your Lord and Creator, Who has created all things well

..............

( Alhamduillah) who's created life and death in order to test His slaves in their performance of this duty of worship:

“Who has created death and life that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All?Mighty, the Oft?Forgiving”

[al-Mulk 67:2 – interpretation of the meaning]

................
( Alhamduillah) who's honoured His slaves and promised those who do good in this world that in the Hereafter theirs will be Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, in which is that which no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, nor has it ever entered the mind of man. By the same token, He has warned those who do evil and neglect His rights over them that theirs will be a blazing Fire, in which they will neither live nor die, in which He has created all kinds of punishments and torments, hearing of which would turn a child’s hair white, let alone seeing them and suffering them. We ask Allaah to keep us safe from that… ameen.

..................
( Alhamduillah) who's saied (interpretation of the meaning):

“On the Day when every person will be confronted with all the good he has done, and all the evil he has done, he will wish that there were a great distance between him and his evil. And Allaah warns you against Himself (His punishment) and Allaah is full of kindness to (His) slaves”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:30]

..........

I ask Allaah to open our heart to goodness and to make us steadfast in adhering to the truth until You meet Him. May he divert all evil away from you, for He is All-Hearing, Ever Near.

May Allah Reward All us paradise and All us meet there..
