Itikaf is regarded as a form of religious meditation. Numerous Muslims devote their days and nights to the mosque (masjid) during the last 10 days of Ramadan. They tend to make sure that they attain the night of Laylat al-Qadr. Itikaf is basically an Arabic word that translates to “to isolate oneself and to adhere to something”. Therefore, Muslims like to spend this time being closer to their Lord and hence they opt for Umrah and also do Itikaf there. They mostly obtain full-month Umrah packages or the last 10 days Ramadan Umrah packages for this purpose. Doing Itikaf in the Holy Mosques of Mecca and Medina undoubtedly doubles its reward.
