I have seen few people who have "Mo" in their names. i believe thats short form for Mohammed...i'm just guessing. I wanted to know people from which region do keep this...i mean shorter versions......i thought it to be some african country or from IRAN...i'm not sure does anybody have any information on this?....i was just curious to know thats it.

In Malaysia, it could be "Mohd"
Mohd is short for Muhammad
Now, it has been standardized that only "Muhammad" will be used, and no more short versions...
How bout that?

i m not sure in your case but i know some ppl think its cool to get callled mo instead of mohammed because its less eastern sounding
