Watered-Down Faith

Salaam lovelies,

I recently was having an interfaith discussion (yay interfaith!) with a very close friend, and she, being a Catholic, said that most Christians are following a watered-down faith. People don't follow what they don't want to follow, but they still count themselves as among the faithful. How are we supposed to convince anyone that it is in their best interest to work harder and do more because it is the right thing to do? Have people become lazy not only in their lives but in their faith? What should be suggested to such people or what actions can be taken?

Also, I work in retail and come across several Muslimas who don't wear hijab but are very happy that I'm a hijabi. What words of encouragement can I give to them about wearing hijab?

Jazakallah khair!

Lulu
