should we really talk about the "meaning" of certain words? In arabic everyone is Abd-Allah or Amat-Allah (for women). Slave or servant...put it as you like... we all do things "Fisabilillah" !

i understand what you are saying you know we all have free will in a sense but some words don't translate equally in arabic the term slave is totally different term slave in English

another example is Allah or god to say God or Alllah to some people means Isa or Jesus ( alahis salaam) or it could mean some man made idol. But to Muslims term Allah (subhana wa tala) mean creator that sits above seven heavens

Your understanding of the word "slave" is only to the extent which you have been taught and read in American history books.

Are you not a slave to eating? breathing? sleeping? gravity?
