Help us spread the word...in response to the tragic murder of Alia Ansari, and other victims of senseless killings (or racial, religious, ethnic, and/or gender profiling and descrimination), concerned citizens of the City of Fremont are coming together, in solidarity, in hopes of creating a culture of understanding, peace, acceptance, mutual respect, and harmony in our community.

I would not advice to have a moment of silence that is not from Islam. This is something that we get from the Kufar and we have much better example in Rasullullah :saw2:. If we gather for a moment of silence then it is not something that Allah asked of us so their is no reward for doing so and it is imitating the kufar so they might lose what ever respect they have for us and test us even more in the media with things to get us angry. Because as muslims we are known for not copying other and being different and that is why the kufar had some respect in the past but now we try to follow them so they lose that respect and you do not have to look some one to respect them, I hope you understand what I am saying.
