THIS IS NO EXAGGERATED GUSH OF EXCITEMENT OR OVERSTATEMENT. UPON US ARE 10 DAYS WHICH NOT ONLY HAVE A HIGHER STATUS THAN THE DAYS OF RAMADHAN, BUT HAVE BEEN DESCRIBED AS THE ‘BEST DAYS IN THE WORLD’. SO THAT WE DON’T FALL INTO A MINDLESS ROUTINE WITH OUR IBADAH, ALLAH HONOURS PARTICULAR DAYS AND TIMES SO WE MAY PUSH AND EXCEL OURSELVES WITH EXTRA VIGOUR.
With Eid ul Adha on its way, Allah has chosen the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah as a time where all worship is magnified in reward and weight. As Imam Rajab wrote described,
“In these seasons, Allah has (special) grants which are achieved by the one upon whom Allah bestows His favour and mercy. So fortunate is he who makes the most of these seasons; months, days and hours - and grows closer to his Lord by acts of obedience - in the hope of achieving one of those grants!”
We are faced with a myriad of ways in which we can gain the extra rewards on offer during this blessed time, and with so many families in desperate need of support- HHUGS provides you with the ideal avenue through which to make the most of these days.
Dozens of families, right here on our doorstep in the UK are in desperate need of practical and financial help. Wives without husbands and children without fathers not only deal with the extreme emotional pain and psychological impact of having family members absent- they also wrestle with the daily practicalities of a loss of income, support and stability.

Following the closure of our account last year we still need your help to the rising demand for our services, with arrests now occurring daily. In the Days of Sacrifice, make a pledge to sacrifice from our pockets and the small comforts each month so we can give to those in need. Donating just £10 a month ensures vital support for families on the brink of despair and earns you the reward of the one of the most beloved acts to Allah - "(those) done regularly, even if they are small."

JOIN THE TEAM 10K CHALLENGE
10 days to raise £10k. The concept is simple and the potential rewards are immeasurable. Working as part of a team of heroes or leading your own efforts, each person will raise £1k and support one another in meeting (and hopefully exceeding!) their own £1k target. A beautiful way to share the khayr, compete together in good and ultimately provide relief to those in their darkest times.

RESTORING DIGNITY IN THE DAYS OF SACRIFICE
“Do not show lethargy or negligence in giving alms and charity till your last breath.” (Bukhari)
Few of us may ever be in the position where we are the ‘lower hand’ when it comes to charity. It is often women who find themselves left as single parents caring for multiple children following the imprisonment of her spouse. As well as the stress of providing daily essentials for a family, those left behind often wrestle the indignity of having to ask for their most basic needs to be covered through other’s generosity. By providing food, household utilities and shelter for those on our very doorstep, we are not only banking good deed for ourselves during this blessed time- but also restoring dignity to families who often have to forfeit theirs.
PROTECT A FAMILY FOR A MONTH - £100
With temperatures dropping already and utility bills taking a price hike, your donation will mean that a family can see through an entire month without the anxiety of having a stony cold house or unaffordable electricity, gas and water bills.
FEED A FAMILY FOR A MONTH - £250
Many of the HHUGS families struggle with practical daily essentials because of financial constraints. Providing a HHUGS family with shopping vouchers will help ease this burden. Something as seemingly mundane as shopping vouchers dignify families in being able to take care of the needs of their household and establishing a basic stability.
SHELTER A FAMILY FOR A MONTH - £500
With benefits often restricted, insufficient or not accessible at all for some, an increasing number of our families struggle with the cost of the most basic of necessities - a roof over their head. Others are stripped of security in the wake of a raid, when front doors have been completely broken, in need of costly replacement and in some cases, preventing access to their homes altogether. Your donation will ensure families remain warm, secure and protected.
