SO hope that while we're fasting and perform our ibadat, please do to call parents or relative to make our sillaturrahim more close.even just want to say Assalamualaikum.
During Ramadhan i really missed to have grilled fish, but type of fish cant find it in my place the where i live now.he he it does not mean its a must but i juz missed it.:hijabi:

Asalaamu Alaykum sister,
Before i started fasting, everything in my mind was a must on the menu! Even the things that i wouldn't usually think of eating suddenly whizzed in my mind in preparation for opening the fast. Alhamdulillah i am living with my parents, and am blessed that even my university is in the same city; however last Ramadan the discilpine that was supposed to be inculcated, the desires that were supposed to be curbed was all wasted when I sat down to open my fast (and when i sat down i really sat down, found it hard to get up and walk after lol). I am trying to make an effort this Ramadan to cut down, make dua for me, and you begin to realise you don't need to have triple helping of the 4 or 5 different food that i pushed my mother to make, may Allah bless her and all our mothers, but if one eats slow enough and with enough control, before you know it your stomach is saturated. Because i used to gulp everything down like theres no tomorrow, i couldn't hear my poor stomach screaming "STTTOOOPP".

I don't really miss food, i look forward to it, as Alhamdulillah i know that we have got enough for iftar, but some others don't, and may Allah increase their provision.
Grilled fish? You should try masala fish! You'll love it

salam

its true that we miss some food during ramadan that we normally would not eat, because you know that you can have it all the time or u just say i will have it later.

i am not an eater coz i tend to drink more and i love drinking fizzy drinks but what i miss is pizza. i love pizza but now u cant just go to pizzahut and buy one.

so i am planning to have a big pizza party when ramadan is finished, insha allah, and i will try my best to watch out the calories.

take care

Well it is definitely different this Ramadan with eating habits. Alhamdullilah it has been a great Ramadan. When I visited the parents, we ate like 4 or 5 times a day of healthy meals. Now that I am back at college I eat like twice a day lol. It is still healthy food but I know I should be getting more veggies and fruits. It is rough living on my budget so I get what I can afford. No more cheese or milk for me. It is like 5 bucks for a gallon of milk. Strawberries are like 3.50 for a little case. Bananas are my best bet.

I should become a coupon clipper.

Whole grain bread, bananas, yogurt and lots of chicken and rice in my menu. Usually the cheapest.
Last nite though a friend cooked for me so I definitely loved eating red meat for the first time in a while.

Insha Allah I will be working soon, so I can start making more interesting foods that are healthy. I love making curried veggies :D
