what now??

Seeking Allah's Mercy

Qul HuwaAllahu Ahud!
:salam2:wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu
how are you all???

well i finally managed to get my father to get me an answer regarding why we here do neck masa*phew*!!

the imaan shared two hadiths.i want to know how authentic they are,i'll be translating urdu so there are chances of mistakes, forgive me for that!!

first one is: (somewhat like this, providing it's my translation)

hadhrat ibn umer radiallahu taa'la unhu said that the prophet said:whoever performs wudhu and do the neck masah with both his hands, that person will be saved from carcans(tooqh in urdu) on the day of judgement(Qiyama)
(referance:Altalkhees al jabeer.page 93.volume 1)

mujahid narates that whenever hadhrat abdullah bin umer radiallahu taa'la unhu performed the head masah,he used to perform the head massah with it.
(referance.beehqee.page 60.volume 1)

one thing about the referances,i don't exactly understand the writng so i might have written the books' names wrong.i'll confirm them form my father make corrections acoringly inshallah.

so what now.are they authentic.should i do it or not:confused:

jazakallah khairan in advance.

:wasalam:wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

No, it's not true. I couldn't find the two hadeeths you quoted but I found one quoted by Al-Albaani and rated fabricated.

Do not complicate Islam for yourself. If a hadeeth is not in the six books, it's most likely not authentic.

jazakallah khairan for your answer akhi.the imaam actually told my father that she'll be told it is fabricated and the like.i knew it was fabricated.....problem is,my parents won't understand...i mean it's real common practise here.right after i made this thread a sis asked me what i was talking about!!

in an attempt to find it's truth i found about 4 hadith that contradicts this practice.only from bukhari.so i dunno howmuch the others books will say about it.and i dont how to get to my parents :(

:salam2: sister,

try to convince ur parents by telling them its fabricated cuz its not in sahih bukhari or muslim if they dont listen, dont argue. You dont make wudu infront of your parents all the time follow the best of your abilities and let ur parents know you are going to follow wats the authentic way is :)
just dont argue :) inshallah it will be great
