Travelling towards my grave.
assalam 'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
Dear brothers and sisters. I hope all of you are in a good condition of life.
Lets say a person has done Witr prayer before going to sleep due to the fear that he might not be able to wake up on the third part of night. Fortunately, he was able to wake up in the third part and prepared to pray Tahajjud. I have heard of a hadith of Rasoolullah (saw) saying that night prayers is in odd numbers. Therefore my question is; since he has done an odd number or Rak'ahs for Witr prayer already, should he do an odd number of Rak'ahs in Tahajjud prayer or even number?
I hope my question is very clear to all of you. Please try to provide proof from Quran and Sunnah in your answers. Thank you in advance and JazakAllah khair.
