Assalamu'alaykum wa rahmatullaah wa barakatuhuh,

This thread has 2 reasons, firstly, having recently reached 2000 posts I felt it was necessary to thankyou and also take a moment to acknowledge that amongst thost 2000 posts there were some which I regret, some which I fear will come back to haunt me some day. Maybe some of it was sarcasm, useless or baseless opinions, I probably offended my brothers and sisters on here from time to time. So for people who haven't posted as much as myself I say you're lucky, you have less to answer for, be careful about the content of your posts. The 'Ulemaa have mentioned the benefits of keeping silent and not talking too much, we do ourselves a lot of harm through our own speech.

In addition to that I think Ive learned a lot here but I never really humbled myself to thank people for extending my knowledge or making me see things from an alternative view point. Im not the emo type, but Ill say it anyway..right through from Mabsoot, to the moderators, to the members themselves, may Allaah grant you with good for allowing me to hang around amongst you, I appreciate it.

Which brings me to the next bit, the title of the thread. Mabsoot has asked this question a couple of times before and I seem to say the same thing in response..so this is a thread where we can help to answer the question, 'Whats good about TTI?' where you can post what parts of it are the most beneficial, or what you feel could be improved? What makes you stick around? Returning members, what made you come back? What might be useful for the future? Think carefully and try and post realistic, useful and beneficial things.

There may be similar threads to this already but members change, new ideas meterialise, so Im sure it can still bring benefit.

Wa-salaam

Wa'alaykum assalaam wa rahmatullaahi wa baarakatuhu.

Jazaakillaahu khayran al-fajr. I regret so many of my posts and some of my threads. Looking back, I can say some of them were just useless, had no benefit and childish. InshaAllaah have learnt from those ways.

"What's good about TTI?"
You learn Islam through the correct understanding, know which scholars to follow, and what teachings to follow and believe in.

If anyone posts anything which seems dodgy and has no basis from either the qur'aan and/or sunnah, then the moderators are quick to delete them.

Compared to other forums, the moderators may abuse their powers and act bossy, but here a lot of the moderators are not power hungry and take part in the discussions, are kind and make you feel welcome. :)

"What makes you stick around?"
When I'm bored (joking :) ). I come for various reasons: To learn about Islam, when I have low eemaan, ask questions, share beneficial knowledge, share news articles or incidences involving Muslims, keeping connected with other Muslims.

"What may be useful for the future?"
I don't know tbh. I think it's good the way it is.

P.S Thank you brother Mabsoot, and may Allaah reward you for all this work, aameen ya Rabb.

First of all may Allah bless brother Mabsoot for such a wonderful website, alhamdullilah!:muslim_child:

This site is filled with contributions from muslims all over the world to share their views and opinions about Islam, its a beautiful thing, :ma:!

The islamic videos and articles are so uplifting and lifts up the spirits.

The ayat of the day by Brother Saladin is also an amazing contribution to this site. He has been very consistent in this area and I look foward to reading these ayats, even if I dont read Quran everyday. May Allah bless you akhi!

All I have to say is to keep up the good work!:hijabi:

salaam,

I just feel so relaxed and comfortable on this site. Definitely, its so different than the rest of the internet, but I feel like I can be myself here. There's always so much to learn and to benefit, to read and study and apply. I tend to come here a lot when I'm bored, which is a good habit, because otherwise, I'd be wasting time on a lot of other unnecessary things. And it feels great to stay connected with other muslims, from all over the world. If ever I have a question about anything, no matter how small, I don't have to hesitate to post it, because I know it will be attended to by such wise people, and I won't feel ignorant or silly or like I'm being judged.

This site is actually almost like a therapy support group!
