women priests

Salam,

It is my understanding that in Islam there are no "priests'. We have no need for intercession. When we pray we are in the presence of Allah (swt).
The wives of the prophet were instrumental in laying a path for believing women to follow. We have had in the history of Islam many women who have been spritual leaders. We, the believing women, do not have time to want to raise our egos. Our destination is the Day of Judgement; to Inshalla, have our Record placed in our right hand. Accquring knowledge is part of our deen. Islam has always encourged women to use thier rational and logical selves to understand the Path to Allah (swt). I have read that it is permissible for women to lead prayer in the company of women as did the wives of the Prophet (pbuh).
However, the choice to obey the dictates of Allah are individual. We have been warned to obey the sunnah and the Mercy of the Noble and Glorious Quran. If we do that then logically, no woman wants to disobey the guidelines that lead us to the meeting with Allah. Thank you.
