Let us see who is reading which Islamic book these days , ( I mean apart from The Glorious Quran or a Tafsir of The Glorious Quran , whcih we should read every day).

Right now i am reading - Islamic Creed by Tahawi ( English Translation ).

Who is reading what ?

This will also help others to know more about books others are reading and they too may be interested in buying and reading those ones.

I hope my post finds you all in the best state of health and spiritually inclined.

This, in my opinion, is a very interesting thread. It truly will help others to know about other readings.

Apart from the Holy Quran, I am currently reading here and there. I do not constantly read though, because I am away from home. I have a few valuable books that my dear sister has bought while we are away from home. The one's that I enjoy reading are closy related to the Prophetic stories and Stories from the Quran.

Some of the books that I am reading now are:

Stories from the Quran by Ibn Katheer
Tibb an Nabawiy by Shamsuddin Mohammed Ibn Qayim Al Jawziyya
Muhammad in World Scriptures: The Bible by David.B. Keldami
Muhammad in World Scriptures: The Parsi, Hindu and Buddhist Scriptures by Abdul Haq Vidyarthi

As Salaam Alaykum Sister,

Just thought I would share this with you.

The below book which you are reading contains blasphemy against Eesa Alayhis Salaam (Jesus peace be uopn him):

Muhammad in World Scriptures: The Parsi, Hindu and Buddhist Scriptures by Abdul Haq Vidyarthi

Please check the section on Buddha, where it say all Budhas are males and
in that it says Esaa Alay his Salaam (Jesus Peace be upon Him) was probably an eunuch. SubhanAllah! he was one of mightiest messenger of Allah.

I'm reading Kitaab At Tawheed By Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahhab rahimahullah.
I'm desperately looking forward to read book "Hijrah" as soon as I get it.

As I am a new investigator to this beautiful religion I am starting with some basics:

First of course is "The Meaning of the Holy Qur'an" by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. It is the new edition with the revised translation and commentary. Published by Amana Publications.

I also picked up, "A Manual of Hadith" by Mauiana Muhammad Ali as well as his "Muslim Prayer Book". Both are published by Ahmadiyyah Anjuman Ishaat Islam.

Peace to you.

Asalaamu Alaykum,
It is very good that you are beginning with the translation of the Qur'an. However i must warn and advise you my brother, as it is my duty to do so, that you should refrain from publications relating to the Ahmadiyyah Anjuman Ishaat Islam. Before i was quick to advise you, i did some research and found that it is part of the Ahmediyyah/Qadiyani movement, who attest to a further later prophet Mirza Ghulam. By consensus of the scholars, these people are not even in the fold of Islam (kafirs), as they do not accept the finality of the Prophethood of Muhammad peace be upon him.

I hope you or anyone does not take this in an offensive tone, and please forgive me if i came across that way, but if you require more information of the ahmediyyah movement please see the following link:
http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=4060&ln=eng&txt=ahmadiyyah

I advise myself and all the brothers and sisters to be scrupulous from where knowledge is sought. We are accustomed to eating from places that are free from dirt, how moreso important is it not, that we are careful where knowledge is sought, as the former depend upon your temporal bodily nourishment, whilst the latter depends upon this life and eternity (therefore requires more scrutiny and authenticity)
