Hard Rock Moslem

I'm your brother
This is my obersation
1) Muslim men often seen smoking cigarette while they are dressed up like an imam outside Masjid...!!

2) At the Masjid, first come should take the first row behind the Imam but reality today is that first come will always occupy the last row.

3) My wife visited one boutique selling lady's costumes only owned by Muslim but could only find clothes that suitable for hollywood's actress...though the owner (lady) was in proper hijab.

4) We were passing by one small shop selling Muslim women's scarves sadly the owner (lady) was not wearing one...!!!

5) Pictures of Palestinian and poster asking Muslim to boycott Israel's products found outside one fast-food restaurant belongs to them, yet majority of its patrons inside are still Muslims.

maybe 5 enough for this time.

Oh- God, I see a lot of that these days! There is a difference between "beliveing" and "ACTING on your belief!" That is like being a donkey with lots of knowledgeable books on our back. We know they are there. We belive they are there. But we don't do anything with all that knowledge! Sure we read the Qur'an maybe every day, and say Istagfar every night, but we still swear, be lazy, and don't wear appropriate clothing

There isn't any use at pointing fingers at what others are doing, unless you go back and give them some naseeha (advice). I want to remind myself as well as I am guilty of preoccupying myself with it also.

Most of us are falling short on our deen. Someone might actually look at us and say "such and such prays 5 times a day in the mosque but still does xyz". So we may think that we are following the deen and being good muslims, but in truth we all have our weak points.

Ofcourse now we can't start giving advice to everyone on the street, so instead we make dua'a for them that Allah swt gives them hidaya and make them taste the sweetness of this deen Insha'Allah tallah.

Giving Naseeha is a difficult art and it takes a lot of time to get good at. You need to work on making a good relation with the person. Then bring the topic subtly and then advice the person in a nice, gentle manner. So let us learn this art instead of preoccupying ourselves with our brothers and sisters shortcomings.

Wasalaamalaikum waa rahmatullahi..

"Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.). That is purer for them. Verily, Allâh is All-Aware of what they do." (An-Nur 24:30)

I would just like to express something...

Until you *all* stop the *brother(s)* or *sister(s)* you're *all* having in mind when you're writing down your "numbered observations"...and tell them *to their face* that they are displeasing Allah or committing a shortcoming...and you get them to *fix their ways* and commit to that which is *best* in the sight of Allah..

keep your thoughts wrapped *tightly* within the fabrics of your minds...

Because there's no need to sit here (or anywhere for that matter..not even *by yourself*) and make a mockery out of others...specifically..others who are your *brothers* and *sisters* in *your deen*

Rasulullah (saaws) said once in a hadith...

"The most beloved and closest to me on the Day of Judgment the ones [of you] best in character, and the most detested to me and furthest from me on the Day of Judgment the ones [of you] who are Thartharoon [those who speak too much and exaggeratedly], Motashaddiqoon [those who speak audaciously], and Motafayhiqoon [those who speak with arrogance]" [Cited by Al-Tirmidhi and Authenticated by Al-Albani]

Let us all fear Allah and not fall under any of the three descriptions given in the hadith..*especially* for criticizing *fellow Muslims* in the fashion written throughout the thread..as I'm sure speaking about the *weirdness of some Muslims* is not that great of a reason to be away from Rasulullah (saaws) on a day we should all be *preoccupied* with *preparing* for more than *anything* else...
