I chose mine because when I was choosing, it was all the war whether in the media or not, and there is still the war, and how Muslims were/are being labeled terrorists. It's we're not terrorists, but freedom fighters

Well, actually, I didn't choose my name. My biological mother had a well to do brother; and, she had more of us kids for whom she could care. Consequently, I was named after my uncle who adopted me at one month old. So, my biological mother named me after my uncle who adopted me. I don't regret not growing up as a share cropper's son in The South, but I would have like to have spent more than two weeks a year with my brothers and sisters.(There is supposedly 19 of us, but I can't name more than 15; so some must have died at birth.) Personally, I like the namd Abdul Rabb or Abd Rabb.
