I have many video games lying around from when I used to play games a lot. My question is blotting out the faces of the pictures on the cases of these games enough or do they have to be completely ridden of? Also is it allowed to sell these games instead eveb if they contain some haram material?

As for the pictures of faces on them, just scribble them out with a permanent marker or something and ur fine inshaaAllaah...

To me if videos have haram material you should dispose of them, not sell them, not own them. Get rid of the haram, halal comes your way. Allah Tawfeeq.

My issue with video games is this: The characters of in video games are depections of human beings, or creatures based on the physical form of human beings. Now doesn't that in itself make video games haram. I mean Islam forbids to draw pictures of living things, to take pictures if living things and here we are talking about 3-d renderings of human beings. The differences between all three are very few and far between. On that basis I think that video games even without music or violence or whatever are haram.

I think I may have posted on here but you can also read it at islamqa.com The digital images are ok so long as they stay digital. so what you are saying doesn't matter since everything is digital.
