I am sorry to be late on this. for many reasons but the main is, there had been my mother’s brain surgery (though not major alhamdulillah) last month and now radiation therapy is scheduled for her. She had been brain patient since for 18 years and had acute thyroid problems from then onwards She had this pituatory gland tumor due to hormonal imbalances as docs say. Now alhamdulillah most tumor part is removed but for traces that are attached to hypothalamus of brain cannot be removed off by surgery as its quite dangerous so radiation therapy is scheduled for her. Inshaallaah pray for her that may Allah ta’ala give her shifaa kaamila.

Thank-you for taking time , jazaakAllahu khayr.
Waalaykum salam warahmatullah brother Saif ,

for your concern about nasr abu zaid on thread 'knowledge' -------

Well for sure I don’t know from where I took up the list. It was posted when I was just new to using Internet as well as to TTI. I know the list needs editing. Some cannot be categorised into scholars category although they might be thinkers, socialist, and writers. It was time when I was learning islam through-out the world and may be that’s why I posted that out.

About nasr abu zaid you can find info here inshaAllaah.

Assalamu Allaicum wa rahamtullah wa braaktuhu
How are you dear brothar and how is your familly? Inshallah you all are well and your hearts and souls in peace , esspecialy now during Ramadan.

This month is special for us, it is not the same like others, it is the time when we clean our hearts more, when we learn more, increase our patien more and when we dedicate all our senses to Allah only, protecting them from others, becouse every thought needs to be clean when thinking on Allah and becouse Allah knows how this soul is forgetful, and becouse He knows how much we are in need of Him, and how He is mercifull toward us when we forget, and Allah still waits for us to repeant and to be better servants, and to be more gratefull for everything that has been given to us. SubhanAllah
Wa allaicumu Sallam wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu dear brother Saif

I pray to Allah you are in the best state of faith and health

Ramadan Mubarak to you and to your beloved familly, may Allah accept your fast and prayers, may you increase your eman and may Allah make you one of those who are always close to Him. Ameen summa ameen

Thank you for asking about me and my familly,:hijabi: Allahamdullilah we all are well, trying to spend more time together during this month, replaceing some of our daily obligations for the time in which we remind each others more on Allah, on that how much we all are blessed to be Muslims, remembering all hardships we went trough with Allahs help, and it is blessing from Allah to be able to put smile on face even after remembering sad moments, and then is when you realise that sadness is not anymore sadness, you start to love those moments becouse happiness and sadness, they are both from Allah and Allah knows what is the best for us.
    wa 'alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah

I'm not going to quote myself, but where did I mention different levels of Imaan akhi? I recall mentioning the women of today and checking if they have similar taqwa to the women of the past, if they have understanding of the adaab of the masaajid, and such... but these things are directly linked to behavior, as 'Aisha radiaAllaahu anha mentioned. If women (or men) had the fear of Allaah, they would regulate their actions, if they had knowledge they would be aware of what should and shouldn't be done.

I don't see where we were on different pages at all? And as I recall various times I never said it cannot be allowed to pray behind men and that in itself is lewdness, as I mentioned I myself have done it, so why would I accuse myself? All I meant to say was that IF women DO pray behind the men, or demand that -- they should know what they are getting into, and the conditions of behavior when doing so.

    Allaah knows best.
