Authentic proof about five slats (prayers) from the holy Qur’an

By Mohammad Rafique Etesame

Some people are doubtful about five salats offered by the Muslims daily, that these are not proved by the holy Qur’an. So their claim is totally unbiased because the holy Qur’an clearly mentions about the five salats as,”
Establish worship at the two ends of the day and in some watches of the night. Lo! good deeds annul ill-deeds. This is reminder for the mindful” (surah Hud 11:114).

So, ”
Establish worship at the two ends of the day,” in it, there is the proof of four salats i.e. fajar, zuhar, asar and maghrab and “in some watches of the night,” reveals about the aisha prayer.

Another verse reveals that,”
Establish worship at the going down of the sun until the dark of night, and (the recital of) the Qur'an at dawn. Lo!” (the recital of the Qur’an in prayer] at dawn is indeed witnessed.” (Al-Isra (The Journey by Night) 17:78).

This verse also reveals about five prayers, as from “Establish worship at the going down of the sun until the dark of night” states the four salats zurar, asar, maghrab and isha prayers. And recital of the Qur’an in prayer at dawn, states the fajar prayer. So, in these two verses there is the authentic proof of five prayers daily.
