Does anyone go to the message boards at beliefnet?
Well the womens Islamic boards are just awful! Some of the sisters preach feminist Islam and I dont know if the things they say are from "Islam" or from something else?

Should I just avoid this site altogether?

Assalamu Alaykum,

i think it is best you leave that site, as it is not really beneficial.

What is needed is answers which are not from the top of someone's head, but which are based upon clear proof from the Quran and Sunnah.

We are not scholars here, but we do ask for people to help by using clear evidence and utilise the Rulings and verdicts that have already been made by Islamic scholars.

Beliefnet

AA,

I initially used to have Beliefnet send me the daily reminders via email, when I intially started practising Islam At that time I found them inspirational, however as I began to understand more and look into auntheticity of what I was being offered from the site, it was questionalbe, therefore i decided to stay away from it Alhamdulillah. There are many other sites that are vey useful and adhere to the Qur'an and Sunnah.
I now look for my "hadith of the day" or "quran verse for the day" from the Islam Channel TV website.
