Give the Sadaqah without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity." (Tirmidhi: 1887)

SubhanAllah it could happen to any of us....

East Africa

More than 350,000 refugees have settled in Dadaab camp in Kenya

50% of Somali children in the refugee camps in Ethiopia are so malnourished they may die within days of arriving

The infant mortality rate of babies in Kenya has tripled in recent days because of the drought.

Please make duaa for our brothers and sisters and help if you can....

As-salaamu `alaikum warahmatullah!

The situation there is truly saddening wallah! I hear stories of their situation everyday. Each worse than the one before, Subhanallah!

This is a test from Allaah `azza wa jall. The people of Somalia have been concerning themselves with useless issues(TRIBALISM) that they forgot the main point of their existence(to Worship the creator). They forgot that this dunya is just a test. They took their health for granted. And now Allaah SWT is testing them with this calamity. Subhanallah!

Allaah SWT says, 'dhahara-al-fasaadu bil barri wa al-Bahr bimaa kasabat Aydi-an-naas..'

"Evil/corruption has appeared on the land and sea because of what the Hands of men Have earned, thay He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return(by repenting..)"

Wallah they have brought this on themselves.(sorry if I'm being harsh but it's the truth) Somali has not been an "Islamic" state for a long time now... Majority of the people that live there now(the rest have fled) don't practice Islam as they should be..
May Allah return that land to it's true state(with a God FEARING government)!

As I'm sure that many of us here are just students, we should, insha'Allah, pray for them as it is the best way we could support them right now. And du`aa as the prophet s.a.w taught us, is the weapon of the believers.

Alhadmulillah, we should never forget that Allah subhan wa teala has lefted us Amanah to help each others, as Allah sais in Quraan: " Belivers are nothing but brothers"( Sura Al Hugurat, ayah 10), and we should also never forget that kindness, and honest love for our Muslim brothers and sisters will give us good on this World and in Ahiraah, Inshallah.

May Allah make us one of those who are protectors and helpers of each others so that Allah can be pleased with us. Allahume Ameen

as-salam 'alaikum warahmatu-llahi wabarakatuhu

and what we are doing?

even in Ramadan, we don't resist ourselves to eat at the best or our limit. astaghfirAllah
and this is why Ramadan was ordained upon us
to resist ourself from what is lavishing or excess, to control ourselves from our desires , to understand the situation of the people who don't even get one morcel of food.

and if we are not concious about these, if we are running after our desires, our Ramadan will be thrown back to us
Ramadan is not only just to restrain ourselves from food for a certain hours and then do whatever we want, or even during the time of fasting.

Oh you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you many learn piety and rightousness" (Qur'an, al- Baqarah,2:183)
"...And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew." (Qur'an 2:184)

may Allah doesn't make our desires to ruin us

may Allah help us to understand the wisdom of Ramadan

wassalam
