Green Lane Masjid is conducting a conference titled ‘From Ignorance to Knowledge’ from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th December 2010.
The esteemed Sheikh Dr. Sa`ad bin Nassir ash-Shethri, founder of KIU and former member of the Lajnah ad-Daa'imah (Council of Senior Scholars) Saudi Arabia, will be participating in the conference [Along with other scholars, amongst whom are the likes of Shaykh Salih as-Sadlaan]. While those in the UK are encouraged to attend the conference, there is good news for all those around the world who are unable to attend the conference. Live streaming of the lectures, sessions and Jumah khutbah has been arranged. All lectures, sessions and the Jumah khutbah will be translated into English and may be watched live online at www.greenlanemasjid.org/tv
Shaykh Sa`ad’s schedule in the conference is as follows
Friday 24th December
1) Jumah Khutbah - 12:30 - 13:00
2) Feature Session - The Sheikh’s journey to knowledge and the scholars who inspired him - 20:15-21:30 (Translated by Sh Ahsan Hanif)
Saturday 25th December
1) Intensive session on Tawheed + Q&A - 09.30 -10.45 (Translated by Sh Abu Usamah At-Thahabi)
2) Lecture - Obstacles to Seeking Knowledge + Q&A - 14.30-16.00 (Translated by Sh Ahsan Hanif)

The above times are only for Shaykh Sa`ad ash-Shethri. The conference will be live and other shuyookh will be speaking as well. The timings are from 12pm to 10 pm Saturday to Monday inshaa'Allaah. I strongly advise everyone to attend this conference and benefit from the `ulemaa (Overnight stay is available for the brothers in the masjid).
