"Just tea" you might mean black tea? I like green tea the most. Just simple I like its light taste.
Actually here are 6 different variations of teas:
Tea is generally divided into categories based on how it is processed.
White: Wilted and unoxidized
Yellow: Unwilted and unoxidized, but allowed to yellow
Green: Unwilted and unoxidized
Oolong: Wilted, bruised, and partially oxidized
Black: Wilted, sometimes crushed, and fully oxidized (called 'red tea' in China)
Post-Fermented: Green tea that has been allowed to ferment/compost ('black tea' for the Chinese)
About green and black tea:
While both black and green teas are made from the same plant, green tea leaves undergo minimal processing, while black tea has gone through an oxidation process, called fermentation. Both types of tea make a healthful addition to your diet, but, because of the variation in their nutrient content, they offer slightly different health benefits.
Black and green teas both support healthy bones and teeth, due to their fluoride content, but black tea can provide more fluoride per serving. Your body can incorporate the fluoride in your diet into hydroxyapatite, the mineralized tissue that makes up your teeth and bones. Consuming fluoride helps harden your teeth and prevents cavities. Black tea contains between 0.2 and 0.5 milligrams of fluoride per cup, while green tea provides 0.3 to 0.4 milligrams. Making your tea with tap water further increases your fluoride intake. For example, an 8-ounce serving of black tea made from fluoridated tap water contains 0.9 milligrams of fluoride.
GREEN TEA -Green tea leaves aren't fermented and hence, don't go through the oxidation process that black tea undergoes, making it extremely rich in the EGCG (epigallactocatechin gallate), a popular antioxidant known for fighting cancer, cardiovascular conditions and more. -Green tea contains 1/4th of the caffeine that coffee has, making it healthier. -Since oxidation is arrested, it is believed that more polyphenols are preserved. -It supports weight loss programmes that include diet and exercise. -Green tea leaves is good for afternoon breaks and meditation in the evening. -It is less acidic and so, washes off acidic waste. -Pure organic green tea creates a detoxifying effect, giving you glowing skin, boosted metabolism and stronger immunity.
BLACK TEA -The EGCG in black tea is destroyed during the fermentation process. Hence, green tea is ahead of black tea in its antioxidant quality and quantity. -Black tea contains 1/3rd the amount of caffeine your coffee contains. -It hydrates the body and strengthens the immune system with bacteria-fighting antioxidants and promotes blood flow to the brain. -It improves focus and concentration. -It's a morning 'eye-opener'. -Black tea and coffee are more acidic. Mild black tea needs lemon to kill acidity.
