Have you packed your bags?
When we pack our bags to go visit far away relatives, we remember to pack our clothes, shoes, bathroom necessities and other little things…
Since we could understand right from wrong, we have started packing our bags and will finish when our souls leave our body?
Just think for a moment!
Have you packed your Salah everyday?
Have you packed your Fasting?
Have you packed your Zakat & Charity?
Have you packed your Hajj?
Have you packed your reading and memorizing the Quran?
Have you packed those little things we do and get reward for?
Have you?
Our bags are like life. We have to pack everyday because we don’t know when Allah will call us back to Him, so we have to be ready to go to our Lord all the time, anywhere, anytime, anyplace. And on the way up to Allah, you don’t get any U-turns so that you could go back and get the things you forgot to pack. So start packing if you already haven’t, and dont forget, there is no such thing as too many bags when we’re packing for our trip to Allah.
Allah says in the Holy Quran “That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds.
So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.
And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom(or a small ant), shall see it.” (Quran 99:6-8)
We should understand the importance of ensuring that our Right Book is heavier than our left. Smiling at your sister, helping your brother to do his homework, reading more Quran, praying qiyamul layl- are simple ways to collect good deeds.
But we are tired! We don't seem to feel the need to prepare for our Akhira…
Have we forgotten we are going to die?
HOW CAN I IMPROVE?
Laziness is from the Shaytan and know that Shaytan is your enemy.
Think about all that time you’ve wasted.
Save yourself from a day when you will be questioned about every minute, every second.
Increase your hasna so that when your Book of deeds is opened it is heavier on the right side.
Recognise those valuable opportunities…
Grab them now before there isn’t a tomorrow..
Rectify your situation…DO TAWBAH AND HASTEN TO DO GOOD DEEDS
DO IT NOW
But remember, there are two essential conditions that must both be present in every performed good act or deed, so as to ensure their acceptance by Allah. First, a Muslim must seek Allah alone in the good deeds that he performs. Second, this good deed must be in total accordance with what Allah has legislated in His Book and what His Messenger has commanded in his Sunnah.
Whenever one of those two conditions is absent from any righteous act or deed, then this good deed or act is neither good nor accepted, for Allah said, what translated means, "So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord." [18:110]
In this Ayah, Allah has decreed that any good act or deed must be righteous, that is, being in accordance with His Religion, and that He alone is sought by this good act or deed.
In his Tafsir (explanation) of the Quran, ibn Kathir said, "these are the two conditions that ensure the acceptance of any righteous act: it must be performed for the sake of Allah alone and according to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah."
May Allah protect us from laziness! Verily, Allah is all Seeing all Hearing
