Aselamu alaykum bros and sisters

In one forum 1 of the non muslim accuse Islam as a religion who support terrorism and other accusation against our beloved prophet saw, he quote some verses from the Quran and interpret it in a wrong way, i want to prove him wrong, but to do that i need an answer from Quran and Hadith by more knoweledgable people/ scholars of Isalm/ so i just copy & paste the question to help u answer it accordingly. Some of his statements r so bad :astag: coz i want to show his arguments i bring it as it is.

here is the accusation he brought
:

"War is ordained by Allah, and all Muslims must be willing to fight, whether they like it or not. 2:216
(if Allah is the GOD why does he allow to kill ppl. every one is his son eko... WHY WAR.... the reason why i think muslim never seek peace is bc Allah order war nt peace ).. one proof

Hadeeth No. 4736 The Prophet I used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives.
here is the funny thing muslims r allowed to have 7 wife .... Mohamed had a 6 years old wife and so many others .... i wonder wht make this type of person prophet..... i would call him sexual harassment or sex offender rather than prophet

Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them. 4:89

those who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment.--4:56

Hadeeth No. 4761 Evil omen was mentioned before the Prophet: The Prophet said, "If there is evil omen in anything, it is in the house, the woman and the horse."

No Muslim knows what they are reciting and the repetitive and incomprehensibleness of this forces the mind to wonder to anything but Allah. Multiply this boredom and also just imagine reciting Surah 33 and Surah 66 detailing Muhammad’s sex affairs during travehs in Ramadan.

Quran tells Muslims to kill the disbelievers wherever they find them (Q. 2:191), to murder them and treat them harshly (Q. 9:123), slay them (Q. 9:5), fight with them, (Q. 8: 65 ) even if they are Christians and Jews, humiliate them and impose on them a penalty tax (Q. 9: 29). Quran takes away the freedom of belief from all humanity and tell clearly that no other religion except Islam is accepted (Q. 3: 85).

Surah 2:190-193 "Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress limits...And slay them wherever ye catch them. And turn them out from where they have turned you out; for persecution is worse than slaughter

Surah 61:4 "Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure,"

Surah 9:38-39 "O ye who believe! What is the matter with you, that, when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah, ye cling heavily to the earth? Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter? But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter.

Surah 8:59-70 "Their state is like that of the people of Pharaoh, and of those before them who treated their Lord's signs as lies. We therefore destroy them in their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh; for they were all doers of wrong"

:salam2: Sister,

Selectively quoting Quran and Hadith is nothing new. I would you request you to do the following so that you become confortable with Islaam.

1. Download tafsir Ibn kathi from here -> www.esnips.com/doc/687132e8-b520-48b2-97ef-729281d86633/Tafsir-ibn-kathir

2. Go to each ayah of quran quoted and read the background and explanation of each of the above ayahs.

There are many sincere Muslims and Non-Muslims who want to know the authentic Islaam, they deserve our time and attention.

We should spend time on explaining Islaam to them rather than debating with these kind of people.

So for the person who posted them, leave him our job is just to convey the message!

:salam2:,

nowadays it is unnatural to marry 10 yr old girl but it was not in those times.

ofcourse, to maintain peace, you sometimes have to use violence. eg. police against criminals.

regarding killing non-muslims whereever we find them, it was during the battle period.

had muslims killed all disbelievers, no one would have been left today to speak against Allah and His messenger (saws).

if Allah is the GOD why does he allow to kill ppl. every one is his son.

First of all it depends what he means by His son. What are you suppose to do with those who oppress you and kill you, sit back and let them kill you. Has he read the Bible, Gita or Mahabharat.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The reason why i think muslim never seek peace is bc Allah order war nt peace )..

Tell him to read the book 'I am not the only one' By George Galloway (He is not a Muslim).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

here is the funny thing muslims r allowed to have 7 wife

That shows the ignorance of the man.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors. And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith. But if they cease, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God; but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression. (2:190-193)

Abu Ja`far Ar-Razi said that Ar-Rabi` bin Anas said that Abu Al-`Aliyah commented on what Allah said:

(And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you,)

Abu Al-`Aliyah said, "This was the first Ayah about fighting that was revealed in Al-Madinah. Ever since it was revealed, Allah's Messenger used to fight only those who fought him and avoid non-combatants. Later, Surat Bara'ah (chapter 9 in the Qur'an) was revealed.''

Allah said:

(but transgress not the limits. Truly, Allah likes not the transgressors.)

This Ayah means, `Fight for the sake of Allah and do not be transgressors,' such as, by committing prohibitions. Al-Hasan Al-Basri stated that transgression (indicated by the Ayah), "includes mutilating the dead, theft (from the captured goods), killing women, children and old people who do not participate in warfare, killing priests and residents of houses of worship, burning down trees and killing animals without real benefit.'' This is also the opinion of Ibn `Abbas, `Umar bin `Abdul-`Aziz, Muqatil bin Hayyan and others.

Muslim recorded in his Sahih that Buraydah narrated that Allah's Messenger said:

(Fight for the sake of Allah and fight those who disbelieve in Allah. Fight, but do not steal (from the captured goods), commit treachery, mutilate (the dead), or kill a child, or those who reside in houses of worship.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(9:123) O Believers, fight with these disbelievers who are near you, and they should find you firm and stern: and know that Allah is with the Godfearing.

From the apparent wording of this verse, it may be inferred that only those Muslims have at first been held responsible to fight with those enemies of Islam who live near their territory. But if we read this verse along with the succeeding passage, it becomes clear that here "disblievers who are near you refers to those hypocrites who were doing great harm to to Islamic Society by mixing up with the sincere Muslims. This very thing was stated in v. 73 at the beginning of this discourse. The Command has been repeated at its end in order to impress on the Muslims the importance of the matter and to urge them to do Jihad and crush these internal enemies, without paying the Least regard to the racial, family and social relations that had been proving a binding force with them. The only difference between the two Commands is that in v. 73, the Muslims were asked to do Jihad with them, while in this verse stronger words, "fight with them" , have been used, which were meant to impress on them that they should crush the hypocrites thoroughly and completely. Another difference in the wordings is that in v. 73, two different words, "disbelievers and hypocrites", have been used, while in this verse only one word, "disbelievers", has been used so that the hypocrites should forfeit all their claims as Muslims, for there was room for this concession in the word "hypocrite"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a declaration of complete vindication on the part of ALLAH and HIS Messenger to the idolaters to whom you had announce a commitment that Islam would triumph in Arabia. So go about in the land for four months, and know that you cannot frustrate the plan of ALLAH and that ALLAH will humiliate the disbelievers. And this is a proclamation from ALLAH and HIS Messenger to the people on the day of the Greater Pilgrimage, that ALLAH is clear of idolaters, and so is HIS Messenger. So if you repent, it will be better for you; but if you turn away, then know that you cannot frustrate the plan of ALLAH. And give tidings of a painful punishment to those who disbelieve, Except those of the disbelievers with whom you have entered into a treaty and who have not subsequently failed you in anything nor aided anyone against you. So fulfill to these the treaty you have made with them till their term. Surely ALLAH loves those that are righteous. And when the forbidden months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever you find them and take them captive, and beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent and observe Prayer and pay the Zakát, then leave their way free. Surely, ALLAH is Most Forgiving, Merciful. And if anyone of the idolaters seeks protection of thee, grant him protection so that he may hear the Word of ALLAH; then convey him to his place of security. That is because they are a people who have no knowledge. (9:1-7)

Critics of Islam actually quote this verse out of context. In order to understand the context, we need to read from verse 1 of this surah. It says that there was a peace treaty between the Muslims and the Mushriqs (pagans) of Makkah. This treaty was violated by the Mushriqs of Makkah. A period of four months was given to the Mushriqs of Makkah to make amends.

Otherwise war would be declared against them. Verse 5 of Surah Taubah says:

"But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is oft-forgiving, Most merciful."

"If one amongst the pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah; and then escort him to where he can be secure that is because they are men without knowledge.' [9:6]

The Qur’an not only says that a Mushriq seeking asylum during the battle should be granted refuge, but also that he should be escorted to a secure place.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jazia Tax: Fight against those who () believe not in Allah, () nor in the Last Day, () nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger () and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. (9:29)

The Jizya tax guarantees the Christians and Jews complete protection under the Islamic state. If an enemy country attacks the Islamic country, the Islamic country has a duty to defend the Christians and Jews and the Christians and Jews are not even obliged to fight!

Muslims also have to Zakat. Zakat is even binding on property, and jewellery. Zakat should also be paid in the form of food as well. The Jizya is not binding on the property of the Christians and Jews.

Fighting those who do not pay Jazia does not only apply to people of the Book. This also applies to the Muslims who do not pay their Zakat! Hazrat Abu Bakr fought against the Muslims who didn't pay Zakat.

In America if someone does not pay their taxes they can go to jail. Does that make America unjust? In China they kill tax evaders.

Malik's Muwatta; Book 17 (Zakat), Number 17.24.46:

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz wrote to his governors telling them to relieve any people who payed the jizya from paying the jizya if they became muslims.

Malik said, "The sunna is that there is no jizya due from women or children of people of the Book, and that jizya is only taken from men who have reached puberty. The people of dhimma and the magians do not have to pay any zakat on their palms or their vines or their crops or their livestock. This is because zakat is imposed on the muslims to purify them and to be given back to their poor, whereas jizya is imposed on the people of the Book to humble them. As long as they are in the country they have agreed to live in, they do not have to pay anything on their property except the jizya. If, however, they trade in muslim countries, coming and going in them, a tenth is taken from what they invest in such trade. This is because jizya is only imposed on them on conditions, which they have agreed on, namely that they will remain in their own countries, and that war will be waged for them on any enemy of theirs, and that if they then leave that land to go anywhere else to do business they will haveto pay a tenth. Whoever among them does business with the people of Egypt, and then goes to Syria, and then does business with the people of Syria and then goes to Iraq and does business with them and then goes on to Madina, or Yemen, or other similar places, has to pay a tenth.

People of the Book and magians do not have to pay any zakat on any of their property, livestock, produce or crops. The sunna still continues like that. They remain in the deen they were in, and they continue to do what they used to do. If in any one year they frequently come and go in muslim countries then they have to pay a tenth every time they do so, since that is outside what they have agreed upon, and not one of the conditions stipulated for them. This is what I have seen the people of knowledge of our city doing."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly. (61:4)

(Verily, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in rows) Allah stated what He likes, and they were tested on the day of Uhud. However, they retreated and fled, leaving the Prophet behind. It was about their case that Allah revealed this Ayah:

Tafsir Ibn Kathir:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the cause of Allah, you cling heavily to the earth Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world compared to the Hereafter. (9:38)

Allah admonishes those who lagged behind the Messenger of Allah in the battle of Tabuk, at a time when fruits were ripe and shades tempting in the intense and terrible heat

Surah 8:59-70 "Their state is like that of the people of Pharaoh, and of those before them who treated their Lord's signs as lies. We therefore destroy them in their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh; for they were all doers of wrong"

Of course he didn't even bothered to check the verse numbers.

This is the result of what your own hands have wrought.” Of course Allah is not unjust to His servants. Their case is just like the nation of the pharaoh and others before them. They refused to believe the signs of Allah. Therefore, Allah took them to task for their sins. Indeed, Allah is very strong and severe in (inflicting) punishment. This is because Allah never revokes the blessings He bestows upon a people unless they change their inner selves _ (their attitudes and actions). Surely, Allah hears all, and knows all. (It is) like the example of the followers of the pharaoh, and those before them. They rejected the signs (and the revelations) of their Lord. So We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the followers of the pharaoh. All of them were evildoers. (8:51-54)

Behold! how they invent a lie against God! but that by itself is a manifest sin!
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who were given a portion of the Book? they believe in sorcery and Evil, and say to the Unbelievers that they are better guided in the (right) way Than the believers! They are (men) whom God hath cursed: And those whom God Hath cursed, thou wilt find, have no one to help. Have they a share in dominion or power? Behold, they give not a farthing to their fellow-men? Or do they envy mankind for what God hath given them of his bounty? but We had already given the people of Abraham the Book and Wisdom, and conferred upon them a great kingdom. Some of them believed, and some of them averted their faces from him: And enough is Hell for a burning fire. Those who reject our Signs, We shall soon cast into the Fire: as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty: for God is Exalted in Power, Wise. (4:50-56)

Allah is just, He punishes those who do evil and reward those do good.

As if Jews and Christians don't believe in Hell.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What has happened to you that you have two minds about the hypocrites even though Allah has reverted them, owing to the sins that they earned? Do you want to lead those to the right way whom Allah let go astray? And he whom Allah lets go astray, for him you can never find a way. They wish that you should disbelieve just as they disbelieved so that you may all be alike. Do not, therefore, take from them allies until they emigrate in the way of Allah, but if they turn their backs (on emigration), seize them and slay them wherever you come upon them. Take none of them for your ally or helper, (4:88-49)

The problem of the hypocrites is discussed here. They had outwardly embraced Islam in Makka and in other parts of Arabia, but instead of migrating to the Domain of Islam they continued co live among their own people who were unbelievers, taking part in all their hostile machinations against Islam and the Muslims.

It was not easy for the Muslims to decide how to deal with such people. Some were of the opinion that since they professed Islam, performed Prayers, fasted and recited the Qur'an they could not be treated as unbelievers. Here God pronounces His judgement on this issue.

Unless the following is made clear at this point, the reader is likely to miss the real object of not only this verse but of all those verses in which believers who have failed to migrate are characterized as hypocrites. The fact is that after the Prophet (peace be on him) migrated to Madina the Muslims came to possess a piece of territory where they could fulfil the dictates of their faith. At that time all Muslims who suffered from the pressures and constraints imposed on them by the unbelievers, and who did not enjoy the freedom to practise their religion, were directed to migrate to Madina, the Domain of Islam. It was in these circumstances that all those believers who were in a position to migrate to Madina, but who failed to do so because their hearth and home, kith and kin, and their material interests were dearer to them than Islam, were declared hypocrites. Those who were not really in a position to migrate were reckoned as 'feeble'

(seize them and slay them wherever you come upon them)

This is the verdict on those hypocritical confessors of faith who belong to a belligerent, non-Muslim nation and actually participate in acts of hostility against the Islamic state

(Take none of them for your ally or helper),

Does this even require an explanation now.

Surah 33 and 66 does not say any thing about which he is talking. Not sure even if he has read the Surah's let alone their context.

No Muslim knows what they are reciting

As if he has met all the 1.5 Billion (Billion) Muslim all over the world.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth. (5:32)

Of course as brothers have said before, one need to read the seerah as well.
