EID-MUBARAK to You!!

Kindly helpme out with an issue in case somebody misses the EID prayers,what is the alternative for that...

Assalaam alaikum,

eid prayer is sunnah muakkadah according to majority of scholars. but its wajib in hanafi school.

the Shafi opinion is that you can do 2 rakah by yourself if you miss the prayer & eid prayer can be done next day also. but that if you're Hanafi there's no make-up for it.

PS: eid prayer is not compulsory for women.

Eid is Sunnah as far as I know, it is not Fard (Obligatory), what is Obligatory is the 5 Daily Salahs, Fajr - Zhur- Asr- Maghrib and Ishaa is Obligatory.

It is sad that muslims think that they only have to pray Eid which is Sunnah and not Fard and they leave all the 5 daily prayers which is Obligatory upon them. Islam is not like christianity or Jewdaism or Buddhism. If you dont pray your 5 daily salahs then there is no reason for you to come to the Mosque and pray Eid Salah because you won't be accountable for the Eid Salah but rather the 5 Daily Salah.
