Another poem from my annual magazine:

MAN IN NATURE

Allah has created many things​

The first and best was nature​

Bloomed and flowered and glittered​

And the birds stood on every branch and twittered​

​

Came he at last as a wonderful show​

At whom all creatures bowed low​

Passed he through the Earth with pride and plunder​

Bringing in all a shock of thunder​

​

Turned the Earth so red with blood​

Where once had not fallen a drop of mud​

Never thinking for once in his life​

It was this nature which gave him his life​

The one he was is known as man​

Who cared not for nature’s plan​

For what he thinks is of his own leisure ​

And never once caring for all gifts of nature​
