Interesting Moving to An Islamic Country

For brothers and sisters who live in the west, did you ever wish that you would move to an Islamic country ? If yes pls post some of the reasons for this, and what are the things that you are doing to make this happen ofcouse beside Douaa.

Before the brothers and sisters could help you out you'll have to share some information about yourself. Where do you live, what do you do, where do you want to go? You know, things like that. That'll help a great deal.

My husband and I really want to move to Dubai with our baby daughter. My reason is because I no longer want to be around Western culture. I find I cannot be a good Muslim here in the UK and I also want my daughter to learn Arabic fluently.
Those are my main reasons. Salam.

Salam bro and welcome I wouldn't call them Islamic countries they are just countries where Islam is very influential an Islamic country would be one ruled by the shariah unlike today's monarchies.

There is some ups and downs to moving anywhere. There is a lot of problems in Arab countries that people don't realize until they get there. The same goes for the west.

Just my opinion. Me personally am for the most part happy and thankful for where I am and I don't really plan on moving unless things get bad.

I lived in U.S and KSA

U.S I pray 3 prayers at the masjid Duhur and Asr at work thats after struggling for two years to live next to a masjid.

KSA: 5 prayers everything close at the time of prayers

U.S. I have to keep looking at the floor all of my life when I am outside to lower my gaze

KSA walking normally all women are covered up

U.S. I am always worried about putting my kids in schools

KSA No problem

U.S. when I used to be the Youth Coridnator for many masajids. All of the youth used to complain that they will be called terrorist at school

KSA No problem..... I can keep going on and on so certainly they are not the same.

Though Dubai is not that different than U.K. but it is still much better you have many options and you can live in Sharjah and just work there, or even staying there at least you are in a Muslim country which you dont feel as a stranger or people would be stairing at you . Yes even Dubai is much better.

Sis I hope and pray that you and family do move eventually as the UK is becoming unlivable as a Muslim. I would urge you to do some research before hand as these countries do not hand out citizenship to foreigners. There are people who have been living here for more than 30 or 40 years but they have to go back to wherever they've come from if the government ask them to leave.

At the moment the only way to live here is through work, wither as an employee or running your own business.

Dubai is very modern and up to date with all the conveniences that one needs, however that there is a dark side to Dubai, alcohol can be drunk in hotels and prostitution is rife.
But if you ignore these things and put your head down and live a life that is pleasing to Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala then you can do that. One of the greatest things here is that there is a masjid every 10 yards or so.

Pray and make du'a to Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala and your wishes and dreams wil come true In Shaa Allah.

Walaikum 'Asalam Warahmatullahi Wabarkatuh sister, I guess you and i share the same problem. Although here in U.S you can wear whatever you want my father is against me wearing the niqab. His reasons don't make sense too, He said "This is a new style or there is no such things as niqab exists" My mother and older sister who live in another country wear niqab and she told me to wear it. His other reasons is that it will limit my opportunity in this land but i still have the same opportunity as before alhamdulillah. For this reasons i want to move to a majority Muslim country so he will accept it if he see many Muslimahs wearing Niqab. Moreover, If you really want to study Islam, For instance, studying Aqeedah, Fiqh and ahadeeth.. you won't get the opportunity. They just teach the basics and there is no such thing as 'moving to the next level'. If even there is levels, it is only for brothers and more problematic it is in Arabic or other language which i don't know. But in'sha'Allah, patience is the way like you said.

In the Netherlands, there are other Muslim sisters just like you(And brothers too..). Associate with your sisters and try to change things to the better. Share your problems, fears, hopes. And if you find a way out to a Muslim country, I guess it's better to practice Islam, but there is a downside..

According to wikipedia, there are 850 000 Muslims in the Netherlands, 5 per cent are Dutch, which is 42 500 people. If you want to marry, I recommend that you look for a husband from your area, a Dutch. You'll have a bunch of important things to share: the same background, the same culture, customs, the same language, the same problems, and I can go on and on..

And if worse comes to worst, you're not a lonely stranger woman thousands of miles away in need for lots of money to go back home..

If I'm not mistaken you live in Algeria?

I'm asking because you don't know what it's like living in a country that is anti-Muslim. These European countries have always been racist and now they are picking on the Muslims. The dress code for women are stipulated in the Qur'an (apart from niqab as there is a debate on that). So all Muslim women have the right to wear what they want Islamically in a democratic??? country.

Contrast this with the UK which has always been liberal, and which gave citizenship to immigrants long before others followed suit, but racism do rear it's ugly head now and then but it's controlled at governmental level. Even there it's becoming difficult to live life like a Muslim.

This reminds me of something Sheikh Khalid Yasin said "if a woman walks around in a thong and a bra nobody will take any notice but as soon as they see a Muslim woman in a hijab they want to call the armed services to check her out and see if she's a terrorist".

Contrast this with living in a majority Muslim country where you would have no pressure and surely one will have peace of mind.

Exactly, my parents are against the niqab. My father more than my mother, because my mother knows why I want to wear. But still she refuses what I find very unfortunate. And you can be fined if they see you with a niqab here.
