PLZ HELP !! bowing down and touching parents feet.

as its eid today, after the salah i was told to salam my parents by bowing abit down and touching there feet.heard this is forbidden.really need any hadiths,quranic verse or anything from any good scholers stateing its forbidden.please help.

That's a hindu custom. You're not supposed to follow pagan customs which have no basis in Islam.

"O you who have believed! bow down, and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful."
( سورة الحج , Al-Hajj, Chapter #22, Verse #77)

You are only supposed to bow down to Allah.Bowing down is considered an act of worship. It is a major shirk if you bow down to anybody other than Allah. Touching the feet of Parents is a Hindu Custom, and it is not only bid'ah (an innovation in religion) but also a major shirk if you do it. Inform whoever told you to do this about the consequenses of such an action.
