Response from Yoplait about their Kosher Gelatin

I've been writing to a few food companies, making specific inquiries about the halaal status of their food, and this is the reply I got from yoplait:

Thank you for contacting Yoplait with your inquiry.
The gelatin in our yogurts is from beef with one exception; Yoplait Frozen Smoothies: The gelatin is from pork.



In the product ingredient lists, the gelatin is referred to as “Kosher gelatin” (except for Yoplait Frozen Smoothies which is not kosher).



§ This means that the process of producing our gelatin is under rabbinical supervision.



§ Both Yoplait and Colombo yogurts carry KD (Kosher Dairy) Certification.
