In the name of GOD, the Most Merciful, the Compassionate,

InshaAllah, as discussed earlier, we are starting a Quran Memorization Thread. We are starting with Surah Al-Alaa.

In this thread, you will be able to see the verses for each day as they are assigned. Each verse will be posted with their english translation and transliteration.

InshaAllah, anyone interested can join for this memorization.

Assignment for Sunday 3rd August, 2008

سُورَة الأعلَى

سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى
الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّى

Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,
Who creates, then makes complete,

Sabbiĥi Asma Rabbika Al-'A`lá
Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Fasawwá ​

baraka allahu feek brother

wanted to note that it is written "Al-'A`lá" or "Al-Ala" NOT "Al-laa".

Surah Al-Alaa Memorization Thread

Assignment for Monday 4th August, 2008
SURAH AL-ALAA, Verse 3 & 4

وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ

Waallathee qaddara fahada
Waallathee akhraja almarAAa

And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal),
And Who brings forth herbage,​

Assignment for Tuesday 5th August, 2008
SURAH AL-ALAA, Verse 5 & 6

فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ

FajaAAalahu ghuthaan ahwa
Sanuqrioka fala tansa

Then makes it dried up, dust-colored.
We will make you recite so you shall not forget,
