The immense reward of six fasting of Shawwal.
It was narrated from Abu Ayyub that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever fasts Ramadan then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted for a lifetime.”
The month of Ramadan has passed now and the second month of shawwal begins, but the blessings of Ramadan are not finished yet. Because whoever observes the six fasts of shawwal, it is as if he fasted the whole year.
The holy Qur'an reveals, "Whoso brings a good deed, will receive tenfold the like thereof, while whoso brings an ill-deed will be awarded but the like thereof; and they will not be wronged" (Al-An'am: 160).
So, whoever fasted in the month of Ramadan it means he fasted the ten months and if he fasts the six days of shawwal, then it is equal to 60 days, so one years is complete, and if someone continuously observes shawwal fasting, then it became life time fasting. And these fasting are allowed that to observe continuously and separately.
So, this is really immense reward and a faithful believer should not miss this great chance.
