Uncertain

Following is fiction, however, I hope that it may inspire some compassion in people who are harsh towards their spouses:

Uncertain

The sweetness that seeps from your tranquil eyes,
Will never be removed from my longing soul.
Let not its yellowness seep out of despair,
For the longing that I face will burn me like coal.

I shall long for your kindness when others were harsh,
And the smile you gave when tears would stream.
It set me free like the birds that I see,
In the sky above me as their feathers gleam.

Cheer up, would you? And rely on your Lord,
And remember with hardship will surely come ease.
I cannot force you to long for our returning,
When finally my time will justly cease.

So do as you wish when I am not here,
But know there is a man that shall await for your knock.
On the door of his palace in the promised gardens,
Seeing his bride in a precious frock.

So keep this note where you keep your love,
And keep your love where you are at peace.
The sweetness of your eyes shall be with me forever,
Even if you aren't - I'll still have a piece...
