why everything for women? why not for men?

after going through few posts, a question clicked in my mind. why there are so many posts like *how to be a good muslimah*, *how to be a good wife*, *why women dont wear hijab*?

is not Islam for all of us. what about threads like how to be good muslim, how to be a good husband, why muslims wear gold or silk?

maybe, you'll find one such thread soon.

brother,maybe this answer will make you smile:women need to feel adviced and in some cases they are more complicated that men.women often don't feel sure and ask to other ones how to do this and that.the muslim men,on the other side,don't need to ask advices here and there,because as maybe you know,the whole Quran is dedicated to the male gender and to his behaviour towards his wife and towards his fellows.the woman is weaker than the man and she naturally needs to be guided to the right way,and to do this,she must ask for advices,she must feel sure for what she's doing.
you already know how to be a good muslim,why don't you expose the "rules for a good muslim man"?I think that each muslim is good in his/her hearts;they are not perfect,but I hope that everyone does his/her duty as well as possible

I'd like it if someone posts more about the beard for men and all that because I've been talking to my brother about how the beard is obligatory and he's always like, "You don't have enough proof".. And the people in my family [almost every guy!] seem to know very little about it.

akhi, I have seen such thread around (not many though) it's just that they go by really unnoticed most of the time. Threads about sisters stay longer and are discussed longer because the sisters have so much to say about everything. Boys seem to just accept it and write something like "jazaka'Allaah khair" and move on!

Brother such threads that you mentioned are started by sisters, right? why dont you brothers do the same. You don't expect sisters to start the thread on topics such as " why fathers should accompany boys as young as 5 years to men's toilet, or islamic teachings on men's personal hygeine"

No offence meant, but we do have restrainsts both cultural and religious. Hijab that we wear is not only a physical identity, it goes deeper. As a muslim you surely respect our shyness ( sharm o haya)

so start topics which you think will interest men.

Brother this is a very inteligent question but as you know brother in our religion there is no place to misconceptions,you should know that the last prophet of God muhammed peace and blessings be upon him told us that in religion matters and in the things that we shall worship God in women and men are equal equal equal;but in some Allah's orders there is a differrence,like you mentioned Hijab,I guess the brothers in the forum suffer as we do all from what the prophet peace be upon him called fitna or examination or Temptation,and the woman in fact is a temptation for the man,what we do notice nowdays is even when a woman converts to islam(praise be to Allah -the almighty true God-) or when a born muslim woman returns back to her religion ,they do not practice it like Allah almighty wants to,we see in the streets some horrible fashions and ways of wearing hijab,some red ,some rose, some yellow and all these colours are attracting in a man's eye,knowing that just being a woman in front of a man attracts him,...
the second issue is:
while we edit some topics about women is that we know the true knowledge that women are the most important pillar in societies,this is my personal belief;a woman means wife,sister,daughter,.. and they are the ones who could educate and raise the future president of that nation,the future scaller,the future scientist,
startng from this point of view we do care about our sisters in faith
and it'll be a pleasure for all of us to read an advice for men wrote fom sisters,...and what is the purpose of marriage if its not completing each other,

The answer for the question is simple. If there isnt much thread directed specifically for men, then start some. I know my answer seems to be something that everyone can think of, but I dont see any other solution to help with this issue than starting to educate ourselves (both man and woman) on the responsibilities/rights/forbidden matters for MEN. Alhamdulillah, we do have some valuable threads for men but not many.

because men have to go out and work to earn for the family and women to take care of home and children.

we cant say women cant go out but going without any need is not encouraged. we all can see the conditions of our homes and level of haya due to men-women mingling everywhere (in schools, colleges, offices, markets).

btw, men-women are equal but different. also men have a degree over of rights and duties.
