Asalaamalikum,

Can an Omniscient (All Knowing) God Have the Omnipotence (All Powerful/Authority) to change His future mind?

Jazakallah khair

isn't He too Great for such phases of time?
if He is outside of His creation?..

doesn't that mean that when it comes to the past..the present..and the future
these are things existing only in the creation?

if time is a creation too...wouldn't Allah (swt) be easily outside of it too?
and thus does not abide by it..and does not do things through it?

sorry...i didn't help much did i?...came in..and just bombarded you with more questions

Asalaamalikum,

Jazakallah khair. Actually you did make some sense. Time is a creation by the Creator. Our knowledge is limited in ways God's isn't. Since we are only accountable for our OWN actions we do not have control of things that Allah has plans for.

alhamduliallah..

i'm glad i was of *some* help

but it's interesting that you could word your question just right..things like that cross everyone's mind..and sometimes it's hard to word them out just right..because sometimes you get misunderstood..or you get frustrated trying to find the words and you end up asking something different than what you're thinking about

Salaamalikum,

Yeah, I was stuck trying to find the right words. So to answer the question, Allah swt will not change the future or the signs of the future for us because since we do not have control over it and we need some sort of a guidance, purpose and hope. Just like how the Quran is guaranteed protection "We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly Guard it from corruption" (15:9), Allah swt sticks with His words.
