Salam brothers and sisters,

I just have a little question I really want a hadith for anger, my husband is always angry and is always argueing he never listen when I say to calm down and instead I'd like to have a hadith to say to him and then he might actually listen insha allah.
He worrys me coz I know how dangerous people are and how easy it is to have a life taken away from us, I know that I cannot prevent what he has written for him but if I could help him I would really like to as I love him so much and want to able to help him :)

Any advice would be appreciated :hijabi:

Hard But Useful!!!

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The best of you are those who are slow to anger and swift to cool down...Beware of anger, for it is a live coal on the heart of the descendants of Adam." - Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1331

The sayings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him)

"When one of you becomes angry while standing he should sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good; otherwise he should lie down."

The above quotation was said by Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) quoted from Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 5114 Narated By Abu Dharr

Salaam,

The advise given to you is correct. However, as your husband is the one who is angry and you are the object of his anger .There are things you can do so you will not feel violated. Walk away. Do not engage with him when he needs to yell and scream. You are the object. Do not be the object. Give him space. Often people who are angry are just venting. He is not in a state to listen. If you tell him to calm down you are simply adding fuel to the fire. Leave the room, take a bath, take a walk, do the dishes, recite a sura. Call upon Allah subhana talla. Just do not talk to him. And slowly he will get the message.
