Pakistans political parties are taking a U turn, they dont want to discuss Kashmir any more, as they want to be closer to India which is making great progress on economical front.

I m not sure if you all know , more than 1,40,000 Kashmiri muslims mostly civilian had been killed by the Indian army from 1989 to 2008 alone. Three muslim generations have been fighting the Indian rule from 1947.

o yaar.. thse pakistanis politicians have sold out every thing. They are living for just money and money.
Dont even look at them. There are a few cheapster high rank soldiers, who have torn down the image of army.

But i asure u taht we love u like before. Army loves u like before. Theere is a helll lot going on in kashmir but i dont know why there arent any protests by human rights associations who come out in big numbers when the ban on scarf is to be lifted.

Kutaayy salay!

Salam Alkeokom,

Why should Pakistan continue fighting over Kashmir? Its not worth it, for those who are in Kashmir are most welcomed to live in Muslim countries. Its not worth the war for something as that land.

I'm having a hard time believing this. How is it possible that Pakistan, who has been a staunch supporter of Kashmir for years, is suddenly wishing to align with INDIA of all countries?? It's MAIN ENEMY?? Sorry, but I'd need more information before I pass judgment.

BTW, I think the best solution for Kashmir is to give them their independence and to let them be their own country. Period.

Yeah every time there is a military gov .It tries to take Kashmir behind the curtain. If you do a comparison.

from 1972 -77 Zulfiqar Ali bhutto ruled pakistan who said it openly
"We've fought and we are ready to fight a thousand years war with india over Kashmir".

From 77-88 in Zia ul haq's time Kashmir went behind curtain.

from 1988- 1998 in which Nawaz shariff and BB ruled .There was a major uprising in Kashmir.

After Musharraf's take over the Indian casualties from 2001 - 2007 are 80 % lesser as compared to 1990-1998.

So i think after a democratic gov we should reverse the MUSH's U turn.

Now let me say this another thing that if I was the PM of the country right now
Then at this point I too would not like to take up hard on kashmir. This is a difficult
time for pakistan and the first priority should be Afghanistan.First we have to
deal with Afghanistan and then not only our attention but the attention of the
MUJAHIDEEN who are now concentrating on Afghanistan will also turn towards kashmir.
The same way when after 1988 soviet withdrawl Mujahideen turned towards kashmir.
So I think that first we gotta concentrate on Afghanistan and then Kashmir.

But yes there should be no deal on Kashmir. There were news that Mush was trying
to strike a deal with Indians mediated by US on kashmir but LOLz He is WAILING.

Kashmir is an intergral part of India. Read history books (not necessarily Indian) and you will realize that after Independence Kashmir wanted to be with India.

The deaths (resulting from Army) in Kashmir are worrisome but the same thing applies to any other country (such as Saudi Arab etc) which is faced with terrorism. Do you expect the Indian Army to stand and watch the insurgents attack and kill innocent people in any country?

Assalamu Alaykum,

Easy, just give them Independence and compensate them for the years of neglect and the forced Nationalisation of the assets of those people they deemed a "threat".

I think a lot of Kashmiris would not agree with you. Kashmiris wanted Self Determination, and independent state. Also, Kashmir was an independent Princely State. Originally, not a part of India.

Anyway, what we should do is not bicker or argue over these things. We ALL need to concentrate on our Deen and unite as Muslims. Not as any nationality or race.

I will close this thread before it goes into argument.
