MashaAllah akhi, v cool website!

I was just about to post a thread to enquire on what the Prophet (pbuh) did for Eid. Thanks for the info.

Anws, out of curiosity, how long did the Prophet did the celebrations? I mean, for like my region, it is always celebrated throughout the month of Syawal, the visits to relatives etc.

Thanks!

:salam2: brother.I'm not quite sure how long the Prophet (PBUH) celebrated Eid, but probably it didn't last all through the month of Shawaal. He (PBUH) was more concerned with da'wah affairs. As for visiting relatives, this can be done at any time of the year, especially that Islam calls for observing family ties.Allah knows best.

By the way, i'm a sister:blackhijab: Salam

lol. MasyaAllah. Sorry Sis.
You know in my place, they make it seems as if, visiting, asking for forgiveness must take place in the whole month of Syawal.

People sometimes gets too engrossed in this such that they forgot what Ramadan has taught them, continuous ibadah and adhere-ing to sunnahs. It is really saddening. Worse still, a handful will go to graves and pay respects to the deceased after solat eid. Graveyards will be jampacked. I think this should'nt be the case as the Prophet says that Eid is a day of festive. So people should'nt mourn on that day.

That is why I really hope to know how the prophet celebrated Eid, what he did on that etc etc. Anws the clip you posted helped!

JazakaAllah Sis!
