I need answers urgently!!

I hope this reaches you in the best health,imaan,and happiness.
I did a thread (salaams, a request from a sister) asking you to make a dua for my dad...:mashallah: you have replied with kind words & lots of duas (thank you!). I have a question and it's bothering both my siblings & I. The question is: since my dad is still sane (his mind is fine) but right now he is in two different & hard states: 1. he is in alot of pain (may Allah give him ease)
2. The doctors give him a shot to make the pain go away & he falls asleep...so he is either sleeping or in pain. He hasn't performed his prayers since he got sick;is he exampt from prayer??
NOTE: he can't sit up right! it's too painful for him.please brothers we need an aswer really quick.May Allah help my dad & may He help all those that are suffering.ameen

:salam2: He may pray by whatever position he feels comfortable, even he can pray with the isharah of his eyes if his body is so weak. but prayer shouldn´t be left.

jazakaAllah khairan for your aswers! Brother Abdaililah I dont know the meaning of the word TAYAMUM! could you please explain what it means so that I have a clear understanding of the word & help my dad inshaAllah. Thank you in advance

My Mom was in a similar state once and we had my brother lead her in prayer. You can ask one of your brothers or any male relative to lead him in prayer in case he can't quite concentrate. THis will make it easier for him and allow him to perform his prayers in time inshaAllah.
