assalamualikum all,

im so tired of all the misconceptions any islamophobic comments that are always floating about in the western comunities. honestly, people here have so much negative and wrong statements concerning islam, fuelled by the media. were a constant target, day in, day out. you would think that in this day and age people would use available resources to find out the facts of islam rather than through heresay. just last week i was reading in the papers the claim 'muslims are trying to take over britain' and 'we must combat islamism'. people are so anti-islamic. its funny how its okay to walk about the street almost entirely naked and yet if someone is covered they are regarded as being a 'block to communication' (if they are wearing niqab) (a co-worker told me this in work today). she also said that the yahood had a right to take palestine as it was their land in the first place. (nevermind all the innocents killed in the process).

everywhere you look you see images of naked, skinny women, caked in make-up. girls here are becoming sexualised and such a young age and are brainwashed into believing that looking like these women is the key to happiness. no longer is a woman judged for her intellect or character, but rather her looks and ability to flirt. is that not opression!!? adultery is considered the norm too.

every day here is like a struggle, a jihad against all the filth society throws at you, in addition to all the anti-islam comments made.

it reminds me of the hadeeth: islam started a strange religion in makkah, and will return as a strange religion, so toubah for the strangers. the companions asked, what is toubah and the prophet (saas) said it is a place in jannah reserved for those who practice islam when the people are opposed to it. (not exact words). may Allah make us of those who have our place reserved for in jannah. ameen.

I completely feel everything you said..and agree with you on it...but there's something worst...

The misconceptions and Islamophobia...promoted by so-called Muslims in Muslim lands...

THEY stab the heart DEEPER with THEIR agendas!

Allah is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs...that's all I have to say about these people and what they spread...

First of all my advice would be to all including myself to be patient. Rasool Allah and sahaba went through much more.

Well its true many people have already made up their mind not to study Islam and just rely on what they have been told by media. Bur one should not forget how many people have come to Islam, when they actually decided to study it themselves, only to find out, they had been lied.

How true is then the verse 'They plan, and Allah Plans too and Allah is the best of Planners'.

We Muslims have to take the blame as well. If only we praticed Islam as it should be praticed, media would never have the chance to misinform people.

May Allah guide us closer to the truth.

for your replies yeah it is true that there are many who actually do look for the truth and find islam. im reading the book called 'the sealed nectar' on the life of the Prophet (SAAS) it is amazing and i recommend all of you to read it. the Prophet (SAAS) put up with so much physical and verbal abuse, he was spat on, stonned, strangled, spat upon, ridiculed and swore at. i dont think any other human being put up with so much as he did, all so that we can be muslims. peace be upon him.

Salaam sister, I think I understand where you are coming from being from a non-Muslim country myself. Some friends I know have to pray at work in secrecy it is ridiculous. Alhamdulilah, my current employers are understanding.

Allah the Almighty stated:

"Verily, you (O Muhammad) guide not whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He knows best those who are the guided."

(28:56)

I agree with bro Hamza about being patient. Indeed, Allah is putting us through a test. Insya-Allah, we can overcome it =)

she also said that the yahood had a right to take palestine as it was their land in the first place

Salaam,

We live in hypocritical times. You'll see women portrayed in their bras and panties & men with their underwear/boxers on clothing magazines, but if you asked them privately to show them what they show in the (public) magazines they won't do it. It is very strange. They worship money.

Your co-workers statement above is illogical. If that's the case, then everyone should find their roots (if it's even possible, historically, physically, and scientifically) to see where they originally came from. Do you think America will let native Americans take back their land? I don't think so!

I just want you to be careful, because I have a co-worker who is part of a deviated sect of Islam called "Ahmadiya" or "Qadiani" and their view of jihad is to allow the aggressors to colonize them. He even supports the U.S. invasion of Iraq & Afghanistan. I'm not saying your co-worker is (Allahu alam -Allah knows best). but just be careful because you live in Britain, and they are the ones that have and had financed this deviated sect. Many of them migrated to Britain from Indo-pakistan sub continent.

thank you thehumbleone, i wish i answered her with the reply you gave. i know about the wahabi sects, but they are a minority here. i just think, can this society get any worse? she couldnt give me a straight answer as to why jesus was god and also the son at the same time. she said you have to just have faith. what a poor answer. then i said why did god choose to have only one son (astaghfirullah) why not many? why did he need a son in the first place? why could he not just forgive adam there and then, like in islam. also how could God decide to become a human, go into the womb of a female, withall the blood etc and then want to know what its like to be a human. their perception of God is a mean one and faulty. they have taken their god to be a human, with huamn features - eg He gets tired and 'rested on the seventh day'... alhamdulilah we have islam, so clear and understandable. that is sufficient for us as a blessing.if we thanked Allah from now till the day of judgement it would not be sufficient in thanking Him for this amazing blessing.
