question 2

what if something is not given Quran and Sunnah? why don't sheikhs combine the teachings of all madhabs into one. don't we have the technology and means to do that now?

what is the correct time for asr prayer? the hanafi method or the shafee method?

Sheiksh are not allowed to combine their own ideas about Islam or anyone.Their all fatwas from Quran and Hadiths. There is a way about comment if anything was not specific for everyone, but they can't add their minds only. Its like law.I really didnt get any question without answer in Islam so far, thats such a perfect religion we have.
Player methods stated for all 4 sects but times are same. What is time mean? clock?

how can both be correct? either its the length of the shadow or twice its length. asr cannot start at both times since both are radically different arguments

Pick the one that is easiest for you to *calculate* and/or fits into the part of the world you live in..it's not that big of an issue akhi..madhhabs are their to *interpret* and *provide evidence*..it's up to *you* to pick that which falls within your ability and your understanding

i follow what makes most sense to me. when people ask which madhab i follow, i will have to respond that i just follow islam. because there are reasons for me to like all of the madhabs or some things that i may disagree with. as long as one stays focused on quran and sunnah, they'll be on a good path no matter what.

yes i understand. but my understanding is limited. what if i pick the wrong one. then on the day of judgement i find out i never prayed asr at the correct time. what will happen then

There is no picking the wrong one becuase they're all right. ASr for example has a duration from such and such time to such and such time... Some schools of thought choose the earliest of the duration and others choose the later of the duration.

Life isn't complicated by itself it's a person that chooses otherwise.

oh now i remember. the angel Jibrail AS came to hazrat Muhammad pbuh during two times for each salaah time revelation. first at the earliest then at the last.

Why are you making such a big deal of this issue?? The Prophet ( Peace be upon him ) was seen praying in both times and that explains this difference. And this difference ( and many others) was meant to show the ease of Islam. It's not as complicated as you think. What really matters is that you don't miss the prayers.:salah:
