Have I sinned?!!

I hope this reaches you in the best of health/imaan

My question is, a brother asked me for headphones and I knew he was gonna use it to listen to Music but I still gave to him. I know listening to music is haraam(some say it's not, but I rather avoid it all together beacuse there is doubt)anyways, I guess what I am asking is do I share the sin with him, since I was the one who provided the headphone? your help is truely appreciated

Here's the following scenario for you to draw a judgment from sister:

Imagine your friend is a drug-addict (*imagine*..this is strictly *hypothetical*)..and they asked you for *cash money*..would you give them the money?..

Of course you won't..if you do not accept a thing upon and for yourself due to its connotations Islamically..then perhaps you should not become a factor in it taking place with *others*

That's why for example..I do not give *gift cards* unless they're from very specific stores where I know things purchased will not be disliked or haram Islamically (i.e. clothing, women products, and shoe stores)..because I do not want my money to be spent on them even if someone *else* made the decision on how to spend the money

Perhaps to eliminate the preoccupying thought of *did I or did I not sin* out of your mind..you need to nicely ask back for your headphones because you need them

that happened to me too! my brother asked me for headphones and i gave it to him.. (caus he's my brother)
but now i guess im going to hav to think twice before i give it to him

Thanks sister, but he was just using the headphones for that particular time and I now have them with me I thought of the scenerio you have provided and I like the way you have used the drug addict and the money subhanaAllah, it's true, I would not give my money to drug addict, but I did not think like that on the headphones anyways, inshaAllah I will not do that again!
