Assalamualaikum to everyone - something flashy that I came across - and it looks really kool too :)

What is Islamic Legacy?

Islamic Legacy is a project that aims to take Muslims on a journey through time, studying the history of Muslims, including the People of the book (Jews and Christians), from an Islamic as well as a contemporary point of view.

The project is a non-profit venture managed by a group of volunteers, most of who have many years of experience in da'wah programs in the West

Islamic Legacy hasn't lost funding.

Rather, the cost of creating a "documentary" would be a sizable amount, and as a small non-profit group, there is only limited funding available.

For those who are able to donate, you can do so at www.islamiclegacy.org

In the mean time, Conquest of Constantinople (the previous presentation) is available as a free download in MP3 format from kalamullah.com

The next presentation is regarding the Crusades.

Brother Ali, if you found that interesting, than you must hear it in Misharys voice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iExj_uhzacQ

Islamic Legacy is a non profit organisation managed by a group of volunteers, most of who have many years of experience in da'wah programs in the West and are part of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah Association of Australia. They aim to take Muslims on a journey through time and SubhanAllah, they really are memorable experiences, studying the history of Muslims, including the People of the book, from an Islamic as well as a contemporary point of view, combining it with a very well prepared graphic presentation, maps, aids and handouts. The esteemed and knowledgable Islamic historians (if I can call them) what they offer, cannot be described in words.

To answer your questions, they release a presentation every year, in most of Australias well known cities like Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and our quiet Perth.

As for the next presentation - The Crusades, it has already been given. In fact, just yesterday, I was going to make a new thread with the audio of the CD they have compiled, ones that were available for purchase on the night, and a book also written by S.E. Al-Djazairi, published by The Institute of Islamic History - a very moving piece of work and forgotten and misunderstood part of our history. Now that it has come up, the way Allah plans things, I am sure to put it up, InshaAllah. If I may, I was considering posting it in the Islamic History Social Group.

You have stumbled upon something very worthwhile.

EDIT: Gosh, I just realised how old this thread is, apologies for the repitition.
